if i was there i'd shove washington's crackpipe up his butt.  matchups don't work when your pitcher can't hit the strikezone.  what an idiot.

what a joke.  pull your best reliever after giving up a single, but don't pull the guy you put in after 8 straight balls load the bases?  and now he walks his 3rd batter in a row to force in a run and effectively end this game.  3rd game of this post season that washington has done something incredibly stupid with the bullpen.  nice job, ron.

ron washington again proves his mastery of the bullpen by pulling an already warm reliever who gets a runner on 1st base with 2 outs, and derek holland promptly comes in and throws 8 straight balls.  good time for another pitcher?  heck no!  let's leave him in there.

rangers in a tight spot, need at least 1 in the 8th.  oh well, if they can take 3 in a row from the yankees, i don't see why they can't do it against the giants at home.

after getting runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out, terrible execution by cruz and kinsler means the rangers are still down 1-0.

seems like the breaks the rangers had been getting aren't going their way right now.

Kinsler got very unlucky, smashing a ball to center that somehow hit the very top of the wall and then bounced backwards.  still 0-0 after 4 1/2

Giants win game 1, 11-7.  an ugly night for the rangers pitchers and fielders.  the bats are still going, but everything else has to improve tomorrow.

rangers have scored 3 in the 9th.  it's a shame they gave up 3 in the bottom of the 8th.  now 11-7

well, now 2 errors charged to vlad in the 8th.  4 errors on the night for the rangers.  tough to win like that.

now 10-4, the rangers getting slapped around in the 8th.  i actually went to college with lowe's sister.  i was hoping to see him come in and tear it up.  guerrero is scary in the outfield... two errors this inning for him. well, the scorers were generous to lopez, only 1 error for vlad.

yup.  or not given up the 2 runs in the 3rd that had no business scoring.  but whatever, i'm still pumped that the rangers are in the world series, and there's still a little of this game left, and a WHOLE lot of series left.

8-4 now.  a shame the rangers didn't do a little better damage control in the bottom of the 5th.  runners on 1st and 2nd, 2 outs.

8-3 now, and moreland just scorched one up the middle that probably would've scored one, had it not smashed lincecum in the leg.  he might be hurting after that one, but he's staying in the game.

rangers down 8-2 now, and still threatening in the 5th.  on a positive note, we've seen this story before in game 1 vs. the yankees, and we all remember how that eventually ended :)

lee gives up 3 more in the 5th, and goes out with runners on and 2 outs.  5-2, giants lead.  not a good sign for the rangers.  this is pretty disappointing, especially considering how he's pitched, and the fact that he was given an early lead.

unfortunately for the rangers, lincecum has had three short innings in a row, and is only at 68 pitches after 5.

lee probably won't go more than 6.  he's at 96 pitches right now with 2 outs in the 4th. 

now 3-2, bottom of the 5th.  i'm still pissed about the runs they shouldn't have given up in the 3rd.  lincecum starting to deal, retiring 9 straight.

he did a good job pitching out of that, but the damage was done.  should've been a 1-2-3 inning, considering the error and hit batter on a 1-2 count.  that sucked.

crap, 2-2.

young's error and lee's hit batter comes back to bite him.  i hate to see them get a run out of that. lee still in trouble, 2nd and 3rd, 1 out.

the giants have two hits off of lee, but both of them were excuse-swings.  the rangers have been hitting solid shots of off lincecum so far.

2-0.  HUGE run for the rangers considering that it involved three things you don't expect to see: 1. a double by cliff lee 2. a run on a tag on a sac fly from molina 3. andrus putting a ball high and far enough to allow molina to tag.
