1.
worse officiated game ive seen all year  >:(
getting on here to say that.  at the risk of incurring the wrath of AAW, Nebraska is getting a lot of help from the officials.
 2. Texas is struggling a bit against Nebraska's size.  This game worried me coming in because of Nebraska's size and because they're really tough at home.
 3.

Whew! You guys have been busy on here. Trueblue, let me put this in another perspective and hopefully you will understand. Some teams are winners and some are champions. Its about attitude
I hear what your saying, But for a team that is going no were, why not let those few kids spend their last 3 min. to ever play highschool ball on the floor and not on the bench. A win or close game will not mean near as much to those underclass men, as playing there last 3 min will to those Srs...JMO for what its worth.
it made me throw up in my mouth a little bit, but i think i actually agree with TB.  uh oh.
 4.
He should get a 7 year deal, not a 10 year deal. That's the issue.
And it should also be front-heavy.  He's pretty arrogant/ignorant to believe that he's going to be producing in 10 years (or 7) like's producing now.
 5.

The HJ player in question is eligible and that was never a question!!!!   And it was requested by TASO, so they could view it!!! ;) ;)
Partial borrowed quote from SN -- "Are you suggesting that any type of behavior/conduct is acceptable just as long as..." you just get served with two techs and ejected and then get to come back the next game (which also happens to be a playoff game)?  No punishment other than the ejection...i guess  ::)
Also sounds as if the HF was baiting the HJ player trying to get him kicked out and possibly suspended for the next game!!!!
Yeah right...It doesn't take anyone baiting that HJ player with the attitude he has.
if it was an HJ player elbowing  kids from HF, then turning and running head on at the HF kid he'd just elbowed, you'd be just as upset if one of your kids that you care so much about got kicked out, especially if he didn't start anything, and ESPECIALLY if people then started trying to make a case as to why he should be suspended for the first game of the playoffs.  I don't think that's an unfair assessment.  In fact, I doubt it is, because it's obvious how much you care for those boys.  You should expect the same from HJ fans in the same situation.
 6. no, he's not going downhill... yet.  I honestly think he's worth the 30 mil a year right now (well, as much as any baseball player can be worth that much), but he's going to be a 10 mil a year player in 5-6 years and a 3-5 mil a year player by the time his contract expires (if he's even healthy enough to still play).  he's handcuffing his team.  i've always heard about what a great guy he is.  there's nothing great about what he's doing to "his" franchise.  i guess he's blinded by the money.  I can't imagine anybody who is as "dedicated" to their franchise as he supposedly is demanding a contract that can only hurt their team: A) if they don't re-sign him, then they're villains for letting arguably the best player in history go. B) if they do re-sign him, then they're going to be villains at whichever point in the future that he's obviously not worth the money he's being paid.
 7. there's been a lot of self-promotion from this year's goalie class, i'll say that much  ;D
 8.
Wow!  A 2-0 win against the Silsbee jugarnaut?  So this makes Liberty the Texas 4A team to beat then, correct?
;D
 9.
I am a Texas fan but the rankings are all wrong. It should be Ohio state Pitt Texas We still have a bad lose (USC). Pitt and OSU don't have any bad loses.
I'd say Pitt's loss at home to Tennessee (now 15-10), is no "better a loss" than Texas' loss @ USC (now 13-12).  Still, i don't have a real problem with Texas and Pitt being 1,2, or 3 in any order.  as far as i'm concerned, they're the two best teams in the country.  Texas has some big wins: Illinois, UNC, Mich. St., Kansas, Mizzou, aTm X 2, as well as two very "good" losses, to Pitt by 2 and UCONN by 1 in OT. Pitt has some big wins as well: Texas, UCONN, G-town, Syracuse, and Nova.  I'd say overall these two teams have done very well against very difficult schedules.
 10.
not saying that it's  ok but it happens, prudome seems to be kinda  hot tempered and i understand that. but what did he prove by retaliating. some things you have to let go and he did not.the refs let things go both ways and they decided that was the last straw and he got tossed. :'( :'( :'( :'( ;D
as far as i've seen and heard (i wasn't able to see/hear a few of the early tourney games), the only team Prudhomme has had any "temper" problems with has been HF.  Maybe he doesn't like beef.
 11. I work with an HJ player's mom, and apparently HJ started the game with only 9 players, and had a 10th show up at halftime.  I'm sure Jasper still would've won, but the score would've been a lot more respectable had HJ had a full team.
 12. I sent Liverpool#1 a message letting him know that he needed our owner's permission before he could advertise on the site.  I let him know that it was nothing personal, simply the site rules, and that if he got permission i'd be happy to reinstate his advertisement in the soccer thread.  He responded with the following: "Nothing pesonal, but F___ yourself and die".  The only reason that I'm sharing this with you guys is that he did have his advertisement up in the forum for a little while, and anyone who is considering using him for training might want to know exactly what kind of guy he is before they let him work with their kids.  So, even if you don't know who he is, if you get the chance to get training for your kid from a "23-year-old son of a local soccer coach" who has "college experience", you might reconsider.  Hey, what do you know, this guy got some free advertisement after all!
 13.

QUIT crying lazeek, yall won the game.so whats your point,im glad to see that referees did'nt bow down to Sutherland for once.  if they both did stuff he got caught and got punished,so what. :'(
as long as HF isn't punished, it's all good, even if HF starts it, right?  This kid (if what Lazeek is saying is true) is lucky he didn't get knocked upside the head for his trouble.
 14. He wants 10 years, 300 million.  what a joke!  He'll be worth his salary for maybe 5 more years, overpaid for 2-3 after that, and a complete waste of money the last couple of years of his deal (if he gets it)
 15. there have been some crazy scorelines lately.
 16.
With 6:12 left in the second quarter, Hamshire-Fannett and Hardin-Jefferson are tied at 24.
wow.
 17.
Everyone on espn thinks texas should be #1
Kansas gets 14 1st place votes, Texas gets 13 :)
 18. Texas 2nd by just one vote!  It's just a number, though.
 19.

Texas wins by 9. we beat Kansas already, UT should be #1
They had Kansas ranked ahead of Texas even right after we beat them. I think it was because of who they had beaten compared to who we played.....a SOS type deal. I believe they said that OSU hasn't beaten Wisconsin in 6 years. Texas finally beats Baylor in 5 tries.
Texas has better wins than KU. that being said, Texas has 3 losses, and KU has only one, even though their loss was to Texas.  If Texas hadn't lost at USC they'd be #1 right now.  their other two losses were by two points each to two great teams, UCONN and Pitt.
 20. Gary Johnson stuck up for JB, said he was the most unselfish player on the team.  Now, that might be an overstatement, as i see him get a little snippity at times, but i do admire JB for coming off the bench when he'd be starting for probably 99% of the teams in america.
 21. it doesn't make sense to me.  freethrows are easy.  I quit playing basketball in the 9th grade, and my senior year i got drawn to go out at halftime to shoot freethrows to win a cookie cake.  i made 4 straight and won the cake, and it had been literally 3 years since i'd taken one.  now don't get me wrong, i was surprised i made 4 in a row in that situation, but the point is that even after all that time it wasn't hard for me to find a soft touch and a decent arc.  i don't understand how guys who can make half of their contested jump shots are only making half of their uncontested, untimed freethrows, even after shooting probably 1000 or more of them in practice every year.
 22. Unbelievable scoreline.  nothing to hang your head about putting up six goals on the 21-time defending state champions.  good luck to all kelly seniors who end up playing at the next level.
 23. what happened to HF this year?  weren't they pretty good last year?
