I think you now understand why I bring that "no history" issue up [/quote] the funny thing is, i didn't say why they were going to win.  i didn't even say that they were GOING to win.  I simply said they could win.  Just a friendly reminder that HJ has been proving people wrong now for several years.  If they don't do it this year, so be it, Cleveland is a fantastic team.    But if they do?  Well, there's going to be a whole lot of surprised (but not really) people on here.

HJ!  or, might i make a suggestion?  load both games, and then you can mute one game at a time while listening to the other.  kind of like flipping back and forth between two games on the TV.

Cleveland is the favorite, and deservedly so.  that being said, they were the favorites the last two years, and HJ has found a way to beat them.  I won't be so bold as to predict HJ will win, but I'll give them a decent chance.

SDSU and BYU are both solid, but it's a lot like mid-major football.  neither team has played anyone all year: SDSU's only win over a ranked opponent was against #12 Gonzaga, their second game of the season.  Gonzaga is now 21-9 and unranked. BYU has two wins over ranked teams... SDSU, and SDSU.  They also had an impressive win over Arizona early in the year, but that win lost some of it's luster with Zona's back to back losses this week.  So realistically, 4 quality wins between them, and two of them came from their head-to-head matchups where one of them had to win.  I don't think either one of these teams would be in the top-3 of a major conference.  Both of these teams are good enough to make decent runs in the tourney, but i wouldn't be surpised at all if they both lost in the 2nd round, either. 

Kansas, Pitt, Duke, Nova

HJ is clearly the most improved girls' team in the area.  they played games last year with no subs, and probably only won 3 or 4 games at most all season.  this year they started with something like 10 straight wins and are looking at maybe a 2nd place finish in district.

[/quote] i doubt it, even if they win the Big 12... Duke, Ohio St, and Pitt are virtual locks. BYU, and possibly Purdue, Arizona or ND if they win their conference championships would all have a good shot to get it over 5-loss Texas, even if they DO beat Kansas in the Big 12 tourney.  Texas is likely to drop to #9 or #10  in the country now, and i don't see them moving up enough to get a #1 seed.

Texas loses 91-89.  They also just lost their #1 seed, as well as a shot to play tourney games in San Antonio in the leadup to the final four in Houston.

20 second half fouls on the horns.  maybe 5 to stop the clock towards the end of the game.  Colorado is going to win this one.

Hamilton has hit a couple of late 3s, Horns down 2 with 14 ticks left.

Horns back with in 4 somehow with 30 seconds left.  looking for a comeback as stunning as the one that came up just short at nebraska.
