  11. As long as they keep playing clean & smart.
  12. LP was missing 7 starters in that game & Simon wasn’t even called up yet.
  13. Saw they were up on Lufkin pretty good.
  14. Morton’s good. Simon’s a monster.
  15. Safe travels to all tonight & an injury free game. Go Dawgs!
  16. In that case, just be glad we’re not playing at Eagle Stadium on Homecoming (or any other day). That means y’all at least have a chance. 🤣🤣🤣
  17. LOL. Never heard La Porte being mentioned as elite, or a region contender on this forum until this particular thread. In fact, La Porte isn’t mentioned much at all, I believe I’m the only active LP poster and I haven’t said they were either yet. La Porte does have a very talented squad this year. But, they’ve been mistake prone—especially recently. A good team is going to make them pay if they continue. This point of the year, TO’s, penalties, missed tackles, & silly mistakes are magnified and are usually the difference since the talent level is more equal.
  18. Well aware of Angleton’s O. Honestly, it’s kind of hit or miss. Sometimes, I think y’all try to do too much and confuse yourselves. At least, it appeared that way in our game. The D is impressive against most of the offenses being run today. Not great against a good power run team. But, should serve y’all well against PAM. Of course, PAM is used to playing against a 425 as it’s used a lot nowadays. I prefer the 34/50 front. But, that’s just me. Good Luck & hope for safe travels & an injury free game.
  19. The point wasn’t intimidation for any opponent. The point was simply to recognize a young man with extraordinary talent. I do the same for players on other teams as well when they catch my eye. That being said, Ball and LP aren’t comparable in the least. I’d say they’re about as opposite as opposite can be, and LP players aren’t showboats. Even the very talented ones. They tend to be very businesslike. I believe Coach Berneathy did graduate from Ball though.
  20. Swervin Curvin was highly sought after. But, I don’t remember his ‘rating.’ If he hadn’t gotten hurt, and also take care of his sister (I believe she had cancer), he would have broken Tony Dorsett’s records. As it was, I think he is second behind Dorsett at Pitt. The Freshman looks like Curvin when he was a Senior. But, he also carries people along for the ride like Kendrick Perkins. Kind of a blend.
  21. La Porte is the Home Team.
  22. Angleton is a strange squad. They have all the tools. Their use (or lack of them) sometimes is a little confusing. Not sure if their top RB is able to play or not. If he is, they’re much more dangerous. Should be a good game. I’ll go with our district mate by a slim margin. Probably less than 7. I think their D is a little stronger. They showed something against Weiss. But, I haven’t watched PAM as close this year. Sorry BG.
