How is kirbyville and oragefield looking? I see you have placed them above jasper and wos.
-
I think with the basketball boys back from football, I think it will be much closer - I give Jasper the edge. Last year's close loss at the buzzer will give the DAWGS all the motivation they need.

There was much said about his coaching style on preseason talk shows; so I think he is very deserving of much praise for the job he has done. After watching his teams more closely this year, I believe he out schemed teams that were better man-for-man. GO LUCK TO COACH ALVAREZ AND THE KATS and yes you have achieved one of your goals of playing pass THANKSGIVING WEEKEND.

What happened? I really thought they had this one in the bag. -
The best thing Coach Brooks has done is to put players in the right positions and that's the sign of a good coach, one who understands personnel and can put in a system that is best suited to given talents. Should players conform to a particular style of play, or should a coach conform to the talents he has been given?

Jasper will be different and much better team when the football season ends.
-
I watched them during the Spring and Summer Basketball Leagues and I know Aaron Garrett (guard), Dominique Bailey (Mr. Everything in Basketball/Football) were starters, Kwame Spikes (shooting guard) came off the bench along with Christian Goff. They are also expecting Cameron Stubblefield and Malcolm Bronson (an absolute animal) to pay huge dividends. Their tall 6-5 guy was injured and didn't play much and their most physical guard should be passing come November 27th. To your question, I am not sure any of the players have a starting job, but I bet there will be a huge shakeup when they return and things will get better in a hurry. Warfan your team looks good but with all the kids out I am sure they would welcome a rematch. Best of luck to you, you all a solid team and an excellent coach.

Warren vs. Jasper Predictions? Nov. 16th
shooter replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
If jasper wins, it will be a testament to their offseason development program as it appears they will start the season with many of their key players still on the football field. They will still be athletic, but will miss Kwame Spikes, Dominique Bailey, Aaron Garrett, Christian Goff, Malcolm Bronson and Cameron Stubblefield, which are expected to play key roles on this year's squad. -
KFDM Coop, I think they will. They bring back a team that was very competitive in district 21-3A (9-5) an didn't lose any key players. They have made significant improvements in their basketball weight room, had kids play in Spring and Summer basketball leagues and two of their key players, Dominique Bailley & Kwame Spikes played AAU ball. Keep in mind they will bring up several players from the JV that won 38 games over the past two years and will have great depth at the guard position. Expect them to run on offense and press on defense for 32 minutes (and in OT if necessary) - They will suprise some folks, but I think the Jasper fans and coaches are expecting great things from this group.

Why was Silsbee/WOS game a closer score than the 21 point difference between WOS/Jasper? -
What about district contest that might come down to wire and you have to look at penetration and etc. For example, Jasper beat Bridge by a larger margin than Kirbyville, so lets say if three of the teams in district 21-A are tied at 4-3 for the final spot, then the scores versus common opponents could come in to play. Let me know if this is the case and as result of this, you have play the district games that you have a large lead in, a lot differentlty than non-district contest.

Has Jasper Become A One Man Team Now
shooter replied to skipper's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I really wonder if Dominique was at quarterback versus Kirbyville would Pierece Rhodes even be in the conversation. Personally, I think not because I believe Jasper would have beaten Kirbyville with his leadership.......but we will never know. -
wos92, YOUR GRIPPING,YOUR TEAM WOS IS WINNING DISTRICT 21-3A WITH A RECORD OF 4-0.

Has Jasper Become A One Man Team Now
shooter replied to skipper's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Their not a one-man TEAM, but they have player that's in a league by himself, his name is......DOMONIQUE BAILEY. He's an exceptional talent, has a thirst to win and his leadership skills have taken off, primary due to his great play. NO player is 21-3A is playing better, in fact, he's playing like the MVP on 21-3A. If you don't buy what I am selling, check out the statson this kid, and by the way, the dawgs are 3-0 with him under center.
