Look, the people who investigated the action know the law better than we do. They can interpret the law better than we can. They concluded no law was broken. With all the success Nederland and Neumann has had over the 24 years some upgrades could've been done to the facilities forthe kids sake. They are more deserving than all programs in SETX. There arent anymore LN out there that will accept the current situation/facilities. Champagne taste on a beer budget will get you what you pay for....jmo

They will come close to what Faircloth makes which is almost $10k more than the BISD coaches.  
 
Bisd has great athletes, but they don't know which school they will go to.  At Nederland a coach can start his program in middle school.  BISD doesn't have that luxury.  Plus you factor in what happened at the end of the year, I could see him wanting to get out of Beaumont.  

Soulja, has the thief been prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law? Or is the thief getting special treatment because of who they know?

People complained he violated privacy (of players that weren't around when the video was rolling) and it was proven he in fact didn't violate anyone's privacy. 
You're right, everyone did the right thing this time. It was for the best he was on leave so the situation could be investigated. Everyone did their jobs. 
Now, what to do about the real problem in this story. What happens with the thief and why hasn't it been announced they are in trouble?
The criminal isn't getting special treatment because of a family member are they? Man if so now that is a controversy worth worrying about and not the coach who coat them.

I work for a large corporation. If I go to my boss, or for that matter if any employee of that boss does, with an ALLEGED impropriety and my boss doesn't act on it that makes the boss just as liable as the guilty party. If Flanigan went to BISD about this issue and they didn't act then I'm pretty sure they are as liable as Flanigan. Coach made a mistake that he tried to justify because his superiors didn't act upon the theft allegation. Both are at fault.

I think you glossed over some very important language in the above provision as an "intent to invade the privacy of the other person" is a listed element to this crime. (Texas Penal Code Sec. 21.15 (b)).  If I am Coach Flanigan's attorney, I would argue (and I think pretty darned successfully) that Coach Flanigan's number of reports to BISD of a theft problem prior to the installation of this camera, as well as the fact that the only footage obtained was that of the proported thief in action, would negate that element of intent.

I'll say this and you may think I'm crazy buddy but if this same scenario was taking place at Central, where I have 2 boys in the program, I'd be taking a stance with coach TF.  Regardless if my boys had any valuables taken or not.  Not that I am trying to get playing time for my boys, because I believe they will get what they earn.  In my opinion it was done out of true love and caring about his players and their personal items with no malicious intent.  So if it did happen across town, I'd be one taking a stance with the coach...

And I've learned that no matter the proof and logic people use, anyone that says something against BISD will be labelled as a hater in your eyes. And as for the vidor comment, the people that were responsible were handled with. Nice try on trying to deflect from the bad light BISD is under though.

BISD refused to listen to the coach they hired when he said there was a thief in the school. Guess they didnt learn their lesson with the last THIEF. So coach decides to protect his players. Same example as lean on me with Morgan freeman. What I was saying was it doesn't look good on BISD when a coach has to break the law to stop crime in the district because BISD refused to do anything about it.
