  1. I’m not from Silsbee, but I know and coached the kid. Had it not been for injury, he could’ve done something on the next level. Not saying he was the best ever WR in SETX, but I’d start him 10 times outa 10.
  2. That being said, Colton was a great athlete. Basketball and football.
  3. Wheelhouse was good. Glad we went. Felt like I was ‘Merican again...
  4. Going to the Neches Wheelhouse for lunch today. More to support the movement to start reopening the State and to support our local economy than anything.
  5. You’re my hero.
  6. Hagar, I’m with you. I can’t imagine it either, but then again, I would never have imagined the insanity that has gone on (and continues to go in) thus far. I think too many people get off on this insanity. This is the #Metoo of the Health community. I just want it to stop.
  7. I would imagine the paragraph is explaining to whomever fills out a death determination on how to fill it out regarding COVID-19 cases either assumed or confirmed.
  8. Sanderson is a little sithole No bigger than a popcorn fart. I think they ride goats to school. Just voted.
  9. Y’all have an amazing program.
  10. Y’all recruiting? 😎
  11. After reading that article, I had a gut wrenching thought. What are the chances they try to have HS football with no fans in the stands? The thought never even occurred to me, but then again, neither did any of the other crazy stuff going on... I know, I know...it’s 4 months away. But this China virus frenzy has stopped the entire world economy. It wouldn’t be anything for “them” to pull the plug on fans in the stands. It literally makes me sick to think about it.
  12. That was awesome. Thanks for sharing.
  13. Very important information.
  14. Lol. I hear ya. I’m gonna say most folks may not agree, but I sure hope we get to have some Friday Night Lights!
  15. I’m gonna go where I wanna go. Seattle, for instance. I plan on going in the next 12 months. Cuz I want to. I support Trump’s wall, but I plan going to Cabo in less than 6 weeks.
  16. Not saying I don’t agree with some of what you’re saying. But what would you suggest to do differently to try and stop the almost certain depression which may even still be around the corner?
  17. Exactly the point I was making. It’s not a welfare check, it’s a bunch of money to stimulate the economy (hence “stimulus check”). It’s an advance tax credit on your 2020 taxes. It’s also a way to appease the masses to take their collective minds off the bs at hand. If someone gets more than their 2020 tax return allows, it will not have to be paid back (unless they made too much). I guess if you make too much, you’re not deserving of a new pistol or the chance to help out your kids (that’s where mine e we oils have gone).
  18. Again, is it fair that all taxpayers don’t get one? Consider someone that has 2 kids in college he/she pays for, pays a mortgage, has a car note, pays into a retirement account so as not to depend on anyone when that day finally arrives. This individual has some credit card debt - nothing crazy - but another monthly payment all the same. Probably a lot less to go around at the end of the month than you might expect. Should that person get one?
  19. But it wasn’t handled with unemployment. Because it’s not an unemployment issue. My question was “Is it fair that all taxpayers did not get one?...”
  20. Exactly. I have been saying that since the get go...
  21. 1. But... Is it fair that ALL taxpayers didn’t get one? 2. Did you keep yours or refuse it? Im not being a smartass. Both are real questions.
  22. I can see your point, but I don’t have a problem with it. Should those that are still working be punished for doing so? Also, stimulus checks are intended to stimulate the economy by providing consumers with some spending money. When taxpayers spend this money, it will boost consumption and drive revenues at retailers and manufacturers and, thus, spur the economy. It’s more to get cash flow going than it is a welfare payment. The idea is that higher earners already make enough to continue spending. I don’t agree with that assumption necessarily, but that’s the idea.
  23. The answer to the question is impossible to know with 100% certainty. But it’s time to test the waters... Governor Abbott has decided to start moving ahead in a very slow process. Good. Not good enough though. Let’s ramp it up a little more even. We are luckier than some regarding the number of deaths. Not near as bad in Southeast Texas. So why not open things up. I’m tired of being protected from myself. I was at the grocery store yesterday sans mask, and a lady who was wearing one commented to me, “You sure are brave...”. I said, “Why, because I’m not wearing a mask?” She replied yes and I explained to her that 1. I can’t find any N95 masks, 2. If I could, I would save them for my asthmatic son and others in my family who are more at risk, 3. I never wore a mask during flu season and 4. I sanitized my buggy, don’t touch my face, keep about 10 ft. between me and the next guy if possible and finally, I don’t know for certain, but I think we are being led down an unnecessary path that could do worse than kill us. Our freedoms and liberties that hundreds of thousands of people have died for (including my Dad) are slowly but surely being taken away from us. I’ll take my chances. I wished her good luck and continued looking for the perfect tomato. I have no issue with her wearing a mask or trying to ensure her own safety. But I’m a frickin grown man. Can someone let me wipe my own ass for goodness sake?
