  1. I agree. I think he’s a smart kid too.
  2. It was recommended by Boyer (green beret, soldier, patriot and respecter of the flag) AFTER Kip was already protesting by sitting on a bench. He was trying to get the idiot to show some respect. Boyer recalls. "And, you know, he asked me to do it with him. And I said, 'Look, I'll stand next to you. I gotta stand though. I gotta stand with my hand on my heart. That's just-- that's just what I do and where I'm from.'" Boyer was just trying to help a teammate out even though he didn’t agree with Kap. That’s what soldiers who fight for their country and flag do. You know what’s funny? All that money that Kap keeps raking in has white pre-civil war presidents on it. Go figure. What a hypocrite.
  3. I agree 100%. I’m glad we both agree. Unfortunately, I think those days are over. They got flag football kids who don’t know what it even means taking a knee.
  4. Thanks. He was. Kinda tough growing up at my house though. My mom was a marine in the 60’s. That’s where they met. You can bet our beds were made every morning before school. Lol.
  5. Well, I was commenting about you saying it wasn’t about the flag. The flag my Dad served for 30 years in the USMC to defend - including 2-1/2 tours at war with 2 Purple Hearts and The bronze medal with Combat V for valor among other commendations. The first time he met me, I was already walking and talking. He went overseas when I was just a few months old. When he was 50, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 non-Hodgkins lymphoma due to exposure to agent orange. He eventually died from it. His biggest regret was not being able to serve his flag and country anymore. Before you think that Kaepernick’s harmless protest has nothing to do with the military, ask the men and women who have sacrificed EVERYTHING for flag and country. I have no issue whatsoever with him protesting. He’s doing it all wrong. My dad died so your punk Kaepernick could piss on his service.
  6. Oh really? A quote from the flag lover... ”“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses Black people and people of color.” His first Public response given to NFL.com - 08/2016
  7. Pardon my ignorance, but who is Wes?
  8. So, if someone says the Rebel flag just looks cool to them and it doesn’t mean anything racial, is that ok? I think I know your answer. Just cuz Kap says it, doesn’t it make it any less disrespectful. While I may not agree with his message, I respect his right to peacefully protest. I would much rather he did it in a much less volatile and ill perceived way. March, give speeches, grow a bigger fro, move to Canada, write a song...just don’t cause the perception of disrespect to our armed forces, our good cops and Americans in general. I think he’s done pretty well for someone so downtrodden.
  9. No disrespect, but “harmed no one” is not true. Ask soldiers who lost limbs or eyes. Ask kids whose moms and dads never came home. Ask Parents who never get to see theirs sons or daughters again. If kneeling is harmless, then so are statues and flags and names of federal buildings or military bases. Harm isn’t just physical as I’m sure you will agree. It’s also perception and intent.
  10. Thank you!!! And if it’s not for you, GTFO!
  11. Good luck to Jeff and his Pirates, but I have a feeling that will change.
  12. I think you got the top 4 right, but the order is probably wrong. Vidor probably number one. Lumberton at least number three. But who knows, anything could happen.
  13. God you need help. That’s also very insensitive and insulting. Do you live off the grid by any chance?
  14. I’m not like that though. Read my post and tell me what you disagree with please. I’ve read dozens of your posts. You appear to be an intelligent, caring and Godly person. Please reply to my post about the difference in abortion and China virus deaths.
  15. Nightshift is a book of short stories by Stephen King. Good reading if you don’t wanna get too deep into a book.
  16. Did you ever read “Tommyknockers”?
  17. Idk if that was in order or not @RaiderGirl2010 if so, putting Vidor at number 3 makes no sense, whatsoever.
  18. Kountzer, the difference is an individual has a choice on whether or not they engage in the liberties opened up by the lessening of restrictions. Nobody is forcing a person to go out in public and risk a very, very, very small chance of contracting the China virus and dying from it. You have the right as an individual to keep yourself quarantined til the end of time if you want. That soul, life, Child of God in the womb does not have a choice. Please don’t use political rhetoric to justify taking a life. I know you are just using an opportunity to demonize the GOP, but it’s a poor example and irresponsible to do so at the peril of killing a child.
  19. I agree, they were better than their record last year, but I know that Lumberton beat them 21-9 last year, 48-11 in 2018 and 49-9 in 2017. Their running back was real good, but if they play the same kind of football they’ve played over the last few years, I don’t see them winning a district game.
  20. Got some more: Godfather, Jaws, Braveheart, Taxi Driver
  21. Is Livingston going to be that much better in your opinion?
  22. It was really cool. I was in college when it came out. It was a series of like 10 mini paperbacks. I’d read it the day it came out then have to wait for the next release.
  23. Hard to argue with that. Definitely a top 10.
