  1. Lol. I know. What town is Hardin High School located in anyways?
  2. I get that. Who named them that? And why Indians?
  3. Who named them American Indians?
  4. True true true. It takes time my friend.
  5. I was responding to TVC about the I-word. I’ve seen a few on that list.
  6. Just poking fun at the fact the we ALL have a little learning to do. Meant no offense. If I’m being honest, cuz I’m white, I didn’t no the reference “Indian” was a racial slur til recently. I didn’t know I could sing the N word with Eazy E and NWA til one of my black friends told me it wasn’t my word to say even if I wasn’t calling somebody one. It’s tough going through life as an ignorant white guy who genuinely just doesn’t know any better.
  7. Ummm... shouldn’t you say I-word? Just wondering...
  8. NAACP - but don’t say colored people N word. Snoop can say it but you can’t. I think it follows the same line from what I’ve read.
  9. I know, but to me that’s what makes it funnier. I’ve known Mackey since the day he was born, and I’m a Silsbee fan, but that crap makes me laugh.
  10. Idk. Plain ole east Texas could give us a run for our money. Seriously though, Maybe CB is saying that people die every day over horrible things and mostly not from cops. Where’s the outrage? Maybe he’s saying that the 7000 + blacks killed each year by their own race should lead to outrage too, but it doesn’t. Maybe CB is saying that (hold your breath) All Lives really do matter, but we are only concentrating on a select few. Maybe he’s trying to say that he’s sick and tired of defending himself for being white! Hell, I don’t know what he’s saying, he’s always saying silly crap like that all the time (notice the tongue in cheek).
  11. Dumb Well....it’s kinda funny, right?
  12. Agree 100%
  13. Gun officially jumped.
  14. I agree 100%. My reason for the hard time with him was kind of an exercise in what racism means to some isn’t the same to others. Especially when it’s not related to White vs Black topics. I’m gonna post on it here in a bit.
  15. It wasn’t an attack. It’s a fact. By your own admission even. You just don’t see your racist tendencies. Quitters never win. Winners never quit. I win! 😎 Sorry you got your feelings hurt. Wasn’t personal ...
  16. I know where you were going. I was just saying that oft times, those serious sports forums are anything but. It wouldn’t surprise me to see “my daddy’s bigger than your daddy” the way some of the discussion goes on - you included. I don’t know why you have such an issue with the silly political forum or locker room, cuz you don't have to read them. Just like I don’t read the softball forum a bunch. Live and let live I always say. I think it’s fun!
  17. That @png9mon is a racist. Pretty simple.
  18. And he’s a racist to boot!
  19. You are silly... Where does the money come from?
  20. Lol. Yeah @AggiesAreWe, not like those serious sports forums. 🤣
  21. Ummmm. He might’ve been speaking directly to you. In the last 4 weeks, you have started more ridiculous topics than anyone. JS.
  22. Thanks, but I have a question. Are you ok with the Confederate flag as a tradition? Are you ok with the use of racial slurs, traditionally speaking? Do you care that entire Native American tribes are hurt by your use of their culture simply for your tradition and entertainment? Is it incumbent on each tribe to “check in” with your team on the misuse of their race and culture, or should it be the other way around? Is it ok for non-whites to be passed on jobs of higher pay and skill because traditionally that’s the way it always was. Do you think blacks should get to vote? Do women deserve equal pay for equal jobs? Do you think the term Scalp ‘Em is appropriate? Is their ever a time your mascot and team name won’t be considered racist? Are you white?
  23. Well, this guy and many other Native Americans disagree. Might as well use the derogatory term “Scalp ‘Em” while you’re at it. Oh wait, y’all do...my friend. I may be biased — after all, I am a Sicangu Lakota Native. After centuries of forced assimilation and federal laws preventing us from practicing our culture (until 1978), for some reason, many Americans now feel comfortable coopting Native culture. A good rule of thumb for this is when referring to Natives, call us Native American, Indigenous, First Nations, or by our specific band or tribe if you want some extra Ally Points, and just let Natives call each other Indian. Here's a non-verbal thing you should never do and immediately call out if you see someone doing: STOP DRESSING UP AS NATIVES. My race and culture are not a costume. Whether it's Halloween or having unknowing first graders wear paper feathers for the Thanksgiving program at the local elementary school, or a school team mascot doing a war dance, dressing up as another race is never OK. Seriously, try dressing up as any other race on Halloween and you'll end up in hot water. -Benny Wayne Sully
  24. Sorry. You’re correct. Should’ve said white kid painted up and dressed up like a Native American.
