  1. I totally understand why it was done. They set up a poor policy that wasn’t thought through. Rules are rules though. I have no problem with having rules. They just need to make the adjustment for smarter rules.
  2. Yep. I’m not dogging (see what I did there...) Nederland for following their own published rules. I’m saying they should adjust them for the future and admit they should have included the military sashes in the first place.
  3. I understand. They should include the armed services sash as accepted attire. I think they lost more than they gained on this one.
  4. I know it was the rules of the district, but what did the district gain from that other than bad press?
  5. Amen.
  6. At our Lumberton graduation, the military sashes were actually encouraged (the way it should be...).
  7. Whatever did you say little buddy?
  8. Exactly the right question. Unfortunately, we all know the answer.
  9. Are you ok with police shooting unarmed people in a public place?
  10. Exactly. You stole my thunder. I was setting that one up after the next silly reply from @biggirl.
  11. How did the cop know that? Maybe he should have ascertained that she was dangerous and needed to be killed before killing her. Do you think that any deemed violent protest should open the door to a police officer legally shooting an unarmed member of that protest?
  12. Sorry, let me ask you a more pointed question. Are you ok with a legal abortion at 16 or 18 weeks? Is there a threshold at which you think it’s too late? If yes, what is the benchmark that makes it “not ok” to abort a child?
  13. Are you saying you are ok with anything that is legal?
  14. If a person is seen entering through a public building’s window, should the police be able to shoot them dead? How do they know she wasn’t trying to escape the “violence “?
  15. Damn. I gotta start making better decisions... 😖
  16. I agree that his name should be protected unless charged with a crime. It’s funny though. Many officers who are put on administrative leave after a shooting of a minority, but are not charged with a crime, have their names put out there. I see a double standard. I wonder if their use of force protocols were broken, which would then open up the officer to a criminal charge...which is why they refuse to release the guidelines in the first place.
  17. Do you think slavery - men owning other humans - was ok when it was legal? What about witch burning...that ok too?
  18. No, it’s not a crime. It should be.
  19. That would beat killing a baby for sure.
  20. Sir I’m afraid your arguments are not only paper thin, but don’t address the life being taken. It’s considered homicide or “feticide” if a fetus is killed while in the womb during the commission of more than 60 federal crimes (Unborn Victims of Violence Act of 2004). It just allows that crime to go unpunished if perpetrated by the host. I would say mother, but I’ll just refer to anyone willing to kill their baby as the host.
