Thanks. Was just wondering because historically, Carthage has basically sucked in basketball.

It's pretty simple, but folks don't want to admit it.  We are simple communities in this area.  In the DFW and Austin areas, even Katy, there are population booms, schools being built and talent being concentrated and recruited,.some even work a couple of years in lower divisions by way of the 2 year realignment.  This IS the reason, it has very little to do with expectations.

When these seniors were in the 8th grade Brock started their football program.  They started with only a 7th and 8th grade, then added the 9th grade the next year and 10th the year after that....When re-alignment came for the 14-15 football seasons they had a varsity schedule....The kids have only known one system and one coach....Yes they have won multiple state titles in other sports, both boys and girls, so there may be something in the water.... Congratulations to Brock.

Im sure by February WOS will be all over the TXSPW all state team which includes regular season and playoff games . This happened last year as well (a poor representation of setx players on the ap all state team ) , to say the kid from silsbee is an HM qb when he played the same amount of games as the kid from liberty and put up numbers that was  far better than the Texarkana kid that made 1st team. Epler threw for 5,000 yards and 71 tds in 16 games last year . Dt had a total similar and all he got was an hm when that got eppler player of the year (offensive) and dt played in 14 games . Setx gets no respect 

Silsbee still has not had a full team practice since football season ended please lighten up mr sports junkie they are still trying to gell Lufkin beat silsbee in silsbee last year this was a good mental come from behind win on  the road against the #23 ranked team in 5a ,they took a step in the right direction tonight yates is ranked in 5a also when they beat Lufkin by 10.

Trey (RS-Jr.) took over as the starting QB this season at Prairie View A&M and went 9-2. Below are some of his accomplishments:
1. He led an offense that was #1 in the FCS in scoring (44.9 ppg). 
2. Finished in the Top 5 nationally in Passes Had Intercepted (2nd). 
3. Finished in the Top 10 nationally in Total Offense (6th) and Turnovers Lost (7th).
4. Finished in the Top 20 nationally in EIGHT different categories. 
Total stats: Passing: 2818 yards, 24 TDs; Rushing: 248 yards, 7 TDs
Keep in mind he did all of this after three different knee surgeries. 

I wouldn't say that. If you're a decent freshmen or sophomore at Kountze you'll more than likely be on Varsity. When I played it was very rare that you had a Sophomore on the Varsity squad.
