Navasota is really good, but they would not beat PAM...depth would become a serious issue

png has a long time to stew on this past season...I agree, kind of an empty feeling with football being pretty much over...but you know in SE Texas, football season never really ends

Nederland will be fine next season and has plenty of talent returning and some new talent coming up...I expect them to be firmly in the mix for another DC..that defensive front will still have Washington and Malveaux and add Johnson who got some valuable experience this year and has tons of potential...you return playmakers like Kimler and Seay and Hopkins will be back as well...add in an experienced OL and Nederland will definitely compete for the 3-peat

that's the point...no one from Nederland is crying about getting beat and that was this Saturday...you guys are still crying about getting beat after losing 2 WEEKS AGO and that is after talking about your assumed state championship run after beating Vidor...Nederland never talked as much crap as you guys did and lost with way more dignity. Again, don't talk the talk, if you can't walk the walk...better to be humble from the beginning...the crow goes down much easier that way

Can't argue those guys either...Couron and Kimler both had amazing seasons and you can add many others to it as well, Washington, Pryor, Malveaux, Wood...Taylor was as good of a lockdown corner as there was in district...Seay played great, too and Whaley, Shaw,and Barrow all had good seasons.

Stampley had 2 and led the team in tackles, I believe...IMO, he is a contender for Defensive MVP...Nederland names shoud really fill the defensive first team up pretty well

That is correct...these selections were made weeks ago, I believe...I assume they will be released sometime this week

GTown has 4A numbers...period, end of story...no excuses or "robbery" complaints from the Nederland Bulldogs

starters vs. kids who played a significant amount...not much difference IMO.

Here are the starters you lose on offense: Raines, Shaw, Barrow, Latiolas, Byrd...returners who either started or logged significant playing time: Hopkins, Kimler, Brown, Brinkley, Albritton, Henry, Barton, Dial, Contreras. On defense, Nederland loses: Couron, Pryor, Stampley, Wood, Taylor, Whaley, the Shaw/Barrow combination...they return: Washington, Malveaux, Seay, and Kimler.  Johnson and Holman also played significant minutes and will be back along with Mayfield who never got to play this year due to injury, but he will be a good one. If I missed any, I apologize but this gives you a pretty good idea...Nederland will lose a ton of talent, but the cupboard will be far from bare as plenty of really good players return...the experience of this year will be a help as well...I look for Nederland to be in the mix for a DC again next year

Congrats to GTown...they were clearly the better team tonight...that Qb is really special..the kid can flat make throws. This is no way diminishes the season these Dogs had!!!  it was a fantastic run with far more good than bad and I am VERY proud fo this group...the memories these guys gave us will last a lifetime...thanks, boys...again, I for one am extremely proud of all you have accomplished.

I listened and it sounded like Navasota was clearly the better team last night and most likely are the odds on favorites to win it all...WOS did make a ton of mistakes and you just cannot have that against a team as good as Navasota. nevertheless, a GREAT season by WOS...13-1 is nothing to sneeze at and these kids accomplished a great deal that they and their community shoudl be proud of
