It just said sports.
read it again sunshine...its the first post

3. pretty impressive to have 3 teams go 3 rounds deep...congrats to 21-3A
4. I like Jeff and think he has done a tremendous job in Vidor, but even that 2012 Coach of the year honor couldn't get him a win over Nederland...people overlook that one of Nederland's advantages every year is the coaching staff...those guys do a great job week in and week out of preparing their team for their opponents....it's one reason I put so little stock in scrimmages...remember last season how many were saying that the Dogs were in trouble after 2 apparently lackluster scrimmage performances?  People fail to realize that Nederland's coaches don't install an opponent specific gameplan for scrimmages...obviously they do in the regular season. Nederland will be a serious contender for a 3rd straight DC next season...and next season we will also have to listen to 2 weeks of banter about why vidor will beat Nederland and how much of a rival they are to the Dogs...robandana will crawl out of his hole like the groundhog for this...that's the surest bet in town but it does make for a fun couple of weeks on the message board
5.

I am missing something. Didnt Nederland lose like 7 starters from defense and most there offensive weapons except for Hopkins??
their backups were all better than their starters. Kids like wood stampley pryor raines are all easily replaced. As far as sc goes if vidor could hold onto the football that game would have been a shoot out. Vidor had around 450yds. Sc gave up almost 1000 yds offense in their 2 playoff games. While i think they will score alot until their defense improves they are beatable.
????...step away from the crack pipe bronco pride...they were good enough to send dayton into basketball season, as well as Plugerville Connally, and Dawson. Despite the loss of too many to count All District performers, Nederland will still be very good IMO...plenty coming back to make a run at another DC...The Dogs will have most of their OL back and 3 running backs who played well last year, including Hopkins who ended up being one of the best backs in area last year
6. everybody who has tried the last two years ended up getting bit
7. Dayton was a quality club and played well...Dogs just played a little better...good, entertaining series
8. If Dayton beats SC, who is 3rd and who is 4th or will there be another game?
9. Earlier this year, I attended the vidor/Nederland baseball game and saw kids on the football field throwing the football...I couldn't help but think what a huge waste of time that was...they should have been practicing handoffs
10. that scenario is impossible since Nederland and Lumberton play each other next Monday.
11. I have said it all year, Livingston can beat anyone when Lantrip is on the mound...the kid can pitch
12. this game (and the first one ths year for that matter) was a classic between what are clearly the best 2 teams in the district...the rivalry just makes it all that much better...23 innings of baseball in 2 games and these teams have each scored 4 runs, so it's been about as even as it could be...Sanderson pitched great and carried a shutout into the 10th...amazing...Nevala and Ramoin came in and pitched well too...png had some clutch play, just not quite as much as the Dogs in this one...the hits by Raines and Feltman were huge. Great game by both teams...the Dogs have the inside track now on the DC, which was their first goal for the season.
13. I think everyone is taking a nap anticipating this game to go on forever like the last one...hopefully not and the Dogs take care of business tonight
14. you are correct on the last run...the decision to send Barrow on a shallow fly to rf was big, but it paid off and I think, all things considered, I thnk it was the right decision...based on what I had seen, I would have forced someone to throw a runner out
15. What I was most impressed with was both pitchers...I had thought (maybe hoped is a better word) that Lantrip might be off after throwing 7 innings just this past Friday and being on short rest...he was not and pitched extremely well...by my count, the Dogs managed 6 hits against him...Sanderson was equally impressive and his velocity in the 7th was as good as it was in the first...Sanderson also helped out offensively as he had a double and a sac fly...Shaw was 2-3 and Wood and Feltman added RBI's...Shaw and Barrow scored the first 2 runs, I don't recall who scored the last one...Raines added a hit as well early in the game...good win for teh Dogs, now on 2 two tough games with LCM and PNG
16. Great kid and I certainly wish him all of the best...tear 'em up, Z
17. IMO, one of the best coaches we had on campus and I hate to see him go, especially for what appears to be somewhat of a lateral move...pretty discouraging, really
18. I had heard that Ozen was winning late in this game, 3-2, but that is unofficial and I never heard a final...little help on this from some of the Ltown fans
19. Man, for some reason, I seem to recall Ozen having a couple fo transfers from somewhere last season???  It's kinda fuzzy to me...can someone help me with who they were??
20. No. I have the Dogs winning this one 4-2...good pitching on both sides with Raines being a bit more difficult to figure out
21. OBP is clearer and less subjective, though...you are either on or you ain't, not much left to interpretation there...over the course of time, things level out and you rarely see a guy who has just reached on error so many times that it makes his OBP look better than it should be...I do agree that many times you see guys hit the ball hard and get nothing to show for it...I always tell them to keep hitting it hard and something good will eventually happen
22. Good game on both sides...Nederland was not at their best, but LCM had something to do with that...pitching depth for Nederland really showed in this one as the Dogs were able to send 2 quality pitchers to the bump...Dogs do need to clean up the errors, but again timely hitting and not giving in when the Bears went up 3-0 early led to this Nederland victory...this team is full of seniors who know how to compete and they did just that last night...Sanderson and Nevala both pitched well and the offense saw Shaw (3), Barrow (2), and Raines (2) have multiple hits along with big hits from Sanderson and Feltman...Sampere reached base every time up as well, I believe with 3 BB and an HBP...pitching for LCM was solid...2 good teams who will definitely be in the mix the rest of the way
