Dogs will be solid this year but have some big holes to fill on the OL...may struggle early until these guys figure out the blocking schemes and protections but the talent is there...skill position guys will be very good...Scott and Maczyk will be one of the best 1-2 punches in the backfield around...don't sleep on the Fuselier kid either...he is a talent and Nederland will find a way to get him the ball, whether as a receiver (think he will primarily play the slot) or running the ball some; think of how Nederland used Yoder, Butler, and Shaw back in the days, just finding ways to get the ball in his hands and let Fuselier go to work; he can scoot! Look for Nederland to move him around the formations quite a bit and just get the ball in his hands

Using Reagan's rationale, you would never buy anything that you had to pay over any length of time...is it expensive?? yes...is it going to get any less expensive? No...you can only put lipstick on a pig for so long and IMO, continuing to spend maintenance budget money on old, outdated facilities is a waste of money as well...NISD's maintenance budget has been rather substantial in years past...again, its a difference in philosophy

I absolutely am equating Nederland’s facilities to those of the dark ages...I appreciate you telling me what I believe, but in this case you are incorrect...leave the area and look around...what we have is substandard and I won’t apologize for wanting better...you have your opinion and I have mine...they happen to differ dramatically in this case

Could have replaced 4 elementary schools and re-done the high school 9 years ago for $30 million less...continuing to wait only increases the price tag...I suppose the idea is to wait until the buildings are ready to fall down before they are replaced Again, I despise spending money, especially this much, but at some point, you have to realize that what you have is not what you need to carry you forward effectively...at what point did someone decide to replace all of the outhouses with indoor plumbing? I'm sure that cost money and outhouses worked pretty well up until that point...somebody found a more effective way to do things

People don't realize what a ridiculous set of circumstances has to occur on the Friday of a home football game; my disclaimer here is that I assume this is still the same as it was in years past; my comments here are based on a conversation I had with Coach Neumann before he retired, but I assume the same still has to happen now. On the Friday of a home game, NISD staff has to completely clear out the dressing room at the stadium that is used on a day to day basis by the Central MS kids; the dressing room is cleared to make room for the varsity football players and their equipment; at the same time, the football equipment/uniforms are loaded up from the high school and transported to the now vacant MS dressing room; when the game is over, keep in mind late at night, this process is reversed so that the middle school kids are ready to go for Monday and the HS football players have their equipment back at the HS on Monday as well; it's a fiasco for every Friday home game because the HS football team does not have a dedicated dressing room/field house at their HOME stadium; but hey, who really needs that luxury of having their own dressing room??

If Nederland keeps kicking this can down the road, the price tag is only going to get higher...10 years ago, it would have cost $126 million to pretty much have ALL new schools...now, $156 million for one school replacement and fixes to the some of the others...this has to be done sooner or later...later just means way more $$...I hate spending money as much as the next guy, but the reality is that you are already spending large sums of money on maintenance of old, dilapidated buildings that are 70 and 80 years old in many cases...I would rather spend my money on something new and up to date than maintaining something 80 years old that doesn't meet the needs of today's education system

I went hoping to watch a high school basketball game but ended up watching 3 men in stripes shirts and black pants take over the game...wasn’t all that entertaining...too many whistles for my taste and it made for a slow, sloppy game...it happens...good win for the dogs

Amen...been a Cowboy fan my entire life, but it is getting REALLY, REALLY hard when the organization refuses to make the necessary changes...the Jones' will not change because that means giving up control to someone who knows what the hell they are doing!!! Jones has only hired top notch head coaches 2 times...the first one was luck because he and Jimmy were college buddies and Jimmy just happened to be an outstanding football coach...Jerry grew tired of Jimmy getting all the credit so we all know how that went. The other case was the hiring of Parcells...Jerry did this because he was desperate and coming off of 3 consecutive 5-11 seasons...he knew that he would never get his new stadium without making some PR noise so he gave in and hired Parcells....he let Bill run the show for a little while but then his massive ego got in the way again and Bill had enough and the 2 parted ways...Jerry went back to hiring coaches who yield control to him and that formula has never proven to work (never will)!! I have said for years that as a diehard Cowboy fan, I would support them no matter what....I was a fan before Jerry and I plan to be a fan after he is done with the team, but he is about to outlast me! I am tired of watching an embarrassment of an organization continue to be mediocre or worse for 20+ years and not do the things necessary to turn it around. Simply put, Jerry check your massive ego and hire someone who knows how to run a damn football team and let them do it!!! Sit in your owner's box and be the cheerleader that you have apparently hired Jason to be Rant over!

Nobody gets upset when it works...lol...according to the stats in the paper, Johnson carried 35 times and threw 18....that’s 53...it shows png ran 56 plays...like I said before, Faircloth finally didn’t try to get cute, in fact if anything, lacked imagination...roschon is an animal and I have said for 3 years now, is a once in a generation talent...I sure hope that translates at Texas...my guess is that it will

Congrats to png...roschon is just an unbelievable talent and he carried this team to a win....to Faircloth’s credit, he finally decided not to get cute in an MCM and simply rode his best player...turnovers were the difference in the game Dogs hang tough...you guys have had a tremendous season that doesn’t have to end any time soon...let’s make a run!! I would love a rematch in 4 weeks again, congrats png!
