1. Whatever it was, mom needs to stay in the stands...Pat is a really good guy (for an Indian...lol)
2. congrats to all of these young men, especially our 2 Nederland guys...well deserved...Hop and Stamp both had great seasons
3. that's a really good piece by Stark...everyone wants to cry about steroids and such now when the truth is that 75-80% of players used some type of performance enhancers in this era...what's worse is that the powers that be in the game knew about it while it was going on and turned a blind eye...now that it has been uncovered, well, it's the most horrible thing ever and we must erase anything that happened during this time. Believe me, I am no fan of Bonds or Clemens...I believe that both of these guys are huge narcissists and ego-maniacs...but anyone who thinks that they along with only a handful of other players (McGuire, Sosa, Palmiero, etc) are the select few who used PED's, then they are mistaken...IMO, there are already guys in the HOF who have questionable character...is the HOF for baseball achievement or a club of good guys?
4. I think that all that really needs to be said here is...Congrats, Tony on your selection to this team and best of luck!
5. Of course it would never happen but cut it back to 3 teams per district and give everyone a bye week...solves that problem...four is ridiclous anyway IMO. Again this will never happen, but just food for thought
6. of course the UIL can rarely be accused being logical but it seems to me that it makes more sense to divide teams by enrollment once they know who has made the playoffs...top 50% go Div 1 and the bottom go Div 2...could cause a slight delay in knowing who your matchup in the playoffs is but should be able to figure that out by Sunday. And yes SC would have still been Div 1
7. Breaux is a DB who played pretty well on JV as wel...he could be a contributor as well
8. that really is inexcusable...some kid out there somewhere played an entire season and played well but falls behind this guy...AP , IMO, is influenced by the pre-season favorites of college coaches who want to make their recruits look good by calling them "all state"
9. so Faircloth is gonna give in and abandon his philosophy of not using players on both sides fo the ball?  this has really hurt png defensively
10. Nederland didn't shoot well last night, but still manged the easy win...room for improvement to be certain...Nederland had to have had a big advantage on the boards as well...Weisbrod was just too much for vidor to handle down low...they don't have anyone on the roster that can match up with a good big...
11. dang, don't they have to be better than this past season??  these points may all be moot as I wouldn't be surprised at all if Faircloth interviews at Permian, although his record this season won't help his cause. PNG should be back in the playoff hunt, at least, next year...it was pretty boring this season without all of the png trash talk...you guys pretty much resigned yourself to weekly beatings early in the season...even MCM was pretty quiet this year...I got the feeling that png just wanted that week to be over and over quick
12. This guy was quite a player when he was at Central...I wish him the best of luck...very athletic d-lineman
13. I hope he goes to LU...we really need to get this Se Texas pipeline built up at LU
14. I have always believed that this area has enough talent to support a competetive FCS program...effectively tapping into this for LU could create greater fan interest while also fielding what I think could be a pretty dang good football team. Good luck to Mr. Fisk as he makes this decision and congrats to him on a fine senior season
15. Soulja, you da man on that prediction...pretty dang close
16. Great win for the Dogs...English was huge tonight and Landry hit some big threes to spark this win...real good win for Nederland on the road...district starts next week...pretty good week heading into district  with wins over PAM and Silsbee
17. I think Nederland's running game will be even stronger next season...Hopkins will be a year stronger and you return the entire interior line of Brown (1st team all district), Brinkley (2nd team), and Albritton plus Henry who gained some experience at the end of the season...add to that the fact that another 2nd team AD pick in Dial returns at FB and I can see Nederland using some ground and pound...Neumann and company are great at utilizes the talent they have and I really believe the strength of the team will lie in their running game next season...Hopkins may have a really HUGE season
18.

PAL THIS IS NO JOKE and belive me i am not going to get over it  writting a letter to the orange leader and see if thay will put this in to the letter to the editor THE GAME IS OVER TAKE YOUR JOKES IF THAT IS WHAT YOU CALL IT TO THE BATH ROOM PUT IT TO GOOD USE. PS WILL SOMEONE ON HERE MAKE A JOKE PAGE ABOUT OTHER TEAMS
Apparently you were not around when we loss to GT. It got brutal.
What happened after SC lost to GT wasn't as bad as all of the spew that SC dealt out before that game...you guys got it as good as you gave it and had it coming...lol
19. started some his sophmore year, although I don't think he started any district games as a soph. Carson's record speaks for itself...14-0 in 20-4A play and 5-2 in the playoffs the past 2 seasons...besides, he is a really good kid which is even more important...he was clearly one of the leaders on this team that had a great deal of success...congrats, Carson on a great career...I am really proud of him as well as all of these Bulldogs, the seniors, in particular...these guys were part of something special
20. I would not doubt that but alot of offseason competition still ahead
21. with Malveaux and Washington back, the front will already be very good...Johnson is likely to fill another spot and Holman logged some minutes this year as well...the LBs will be hard to replace, but Mayfield will likely fill one of those spots and perhaps Stewart the other...it will be very hard to replace Stampley and Wood...DB's lose Taylor, Shaw, and Barrow, all 3 all district picks, but return Kimler, who will again be a force...plenty of candidates to fill those positions but I suspect it will be very competive...Seay is also back at the hybrid S/LB posiition. overall, Nederland will have a very solid defense again next season
22. I cannot add much to what has been said here...I will simply agree...great group of not only players, but young men...I have watched many of these kids compete and mature since they were young kids...very gratifying to see the young men they have become...the success they had on the field made for some dang entertaining Friday nights...thanks fellas and hold your heads high...folks arounf here will remember you guys for a very long time
23. the kid is a phenomenal talent...outside of the Gtown QB, he was the best Nederland faced all year...he has size, he is mobile, and he has a good arm...Lamar would do well to have him and several other local kids IMO...however, for LU, all the skill people in the world will not matter if they cannot build the team to be strong up front...need some big old hogs up on the Oline so that the skill guys can do their thing
