I wish my wife would let me do all that.

Curious to see how much fight Lake Creek has next week against Huntsville. They are not eliminated, but they do not control their own destiny. Will they come out like a wounded animal, or is this loss the back breaker on a very disappointing season. I would love for Huntsville to provide the final dagger.

Lake Creek’s only chance now is to beat Huntsville and then hope Nederland beats them also to put both Lake Creek and Huntsville at 4-3.

Looks like 1973 was the last time Kountze won District and Newton beat them 21-14 in 1st round that year.

I think Newton has won at least the last 31 games, maybe more. 1969 may be the last time Kountze won.

This is the only game in the District worth watching. The other 3 games look like cake walks.

I originally thought New Waverly would get the 4 seed, but they weren’t competitive against Anderson-Shiro. Kountze hasn’t played anybody so it’s hard to gauge them. Kountze and NW will settle it in a few weeks. I probably still lean with NW.

Anderson is the 3rd best team in the district, but they are well behind the Top 2. Woodville by 28.

3 4A schools and 3 district cupcakes? Not sure that’s enough. We’ll see though.

They are probably 11. Brenham beat them, so the Cubs get 10.

Well Tarkington did beat 1A Snook, so I’ll take Silsbee

West Fork will try to run it mostly. They will likely drain the play clock every snap and try and limit the PNG possessions. Their opening drive against Huntsville was over 6 minutes. They may find the end zone once or twice. They are playing hard. Good game to get the backups experience.

My gut says Lake Creek by 20. I don’t think Nederland will keep pace.

Season low for the Bears. They averaged 49 points coming in. It will be a challenge to score 30 on this Huntsville defense.

I agree. The Montgomery QB had a couple of scrambles for 14-20 yards. But that was it. The Hornet defense knew the game plan. Montgomery is a big play offense, but through 3 Qtrs, they only had 2 plays over 30 yards. They did get a few chunk plays in the 4th Qtr. I don’t know if Huntsville relaxed with the 26-3 lead, but the game got interesting for a bit. TD, onside kick, TD and it was 26-18. The Montgomery receivers did get open a few times, but it did seem mostly like #12 was just throwing it up there. The Hornet pass rush had something to do with that. The Hornet defense is starting to play really well.
