Huntsville won last year’s nail biter matchup but they will have to stop the big plays from the King running attack if they want to repeat. Huntsville’s RB is out and they had a coach pass from Covid this week. Not sure what to expect, but I’ll say King 28-14.

I think it’s too early to say. Consol is always solid. They have played two bad opponents and then a good win against Judson. Not sure if Judson is really good though. After the Oct 1 game against Huntsville, we’ll know more. District 10 is tough, and there could be some surprises. Huntsville’s starting RB missed the game against Kingwood due to injury. The Hornet offense looked a little lost. The defense has been pretty good, but no Bombino’s this year. At this point, I don’t think they beat C.E. King this week. i agree that FB Marshall is not as dominant, but they certainly are still in the running. Crosby and Texas High are still in the conversation as well.

I’ll take Coldspring by 2 TD’s.

Ok, well I don’t think it was changed recently. My schedule is a month old and it shows Thursday.

I think it’s been scheduled for Thursday all along. There are two Montgomery schools that share the field. I don’t know a lot about United, but I’ll take the Montgomery Bears in this one. Two backs combined for 350 yards rushing against Dayton (Yes, I know). QB is very experienced and the Bears offense should put up some points.

Trinity ISD has closed all of their schools until Sept 13. Next 2 Friday night games against Groveton and Tarkington are cancelled. Groveton has Covid too.

I don’t look much at rankings. I also thought Lake Creek was going to win it all because they were so dominating all season. I think everyone knew the Region would come down to these two teams. BH/Lake Creek was an even matchup, but BH had an edge in experience and I think that’s why they won. Lake Creek didn’t play many close games this year. I don’t see any weaknesses with BH. Offense, defense, 2 aces, experience, coaching. Certainly anything can happen in any one game, but I think they win it. That program has been so good for probably 20 years, especially the last 8. I can’t even remember a year where they didn’t go at least 4 rounds deep. They just reload there. Must be a softball breeding factory nearby.
