I will take full blame for starting this, but as fans we want to know when something significant happens. What is wrong with that? What many consider a big reason for the success of a local high school football team leaves under unusual circumstances, who doesn't want to know the real reason? The truth? IMO, this should be a news story, as a reporter this is significant and should be researched. Not trying to embarrass anybody or any program. just trying to get factual information.

However, I have heard that a self professed great motivator and offensive innovator has left the Code Red family.

I don't KNOW anything.

Just curious what the inside scoop was.

Well said and very true. They are a long term (10 year) investment and more than pay for themselves. Do we have pictures of the progress?

I'm pretty sure he will bring in his own guy as the OC, not sure what that means since he is going to call the plays on Friday nights.

Michael Allen is a heck of a coach. He knows his stuff, will always be prepared, is great in film study and opponent breakdown, he will have the defense playing aggressive, smart and with reckless abandon. They will be fast to the ball, physical and force numerous turnovers. He is also an amazing motivator and relates very well to the kids. He is a great addition to the staff. Now, we will see who comes on the offensive side to hopefully balance out the run heavy head coach.

If you sleep on Dayton and the new energy Nations is bringing then that will be a HUGE mistake. There is no doubt in my mind that Dayton will be District Championship contender this season.

Here we go again.

Very, very, very few teams actually throw more than they run. Teams that are balanced (50/50) or close to it (60/40 - Run/Pass) are the ones that get accused of playing basketball on grass and being undisciplined. And any team that lines up with 4 wides better be throwing to all 4 of them or they are giving away tendencies.

And throw to all four receivers.......

I just seems to me that those coaches that like to throw the ball get a bad rap as being undisciplined. Just because they want to throw the ball, doesn't mean that they don't believe in the run game. Just because they like to throw the ball, doesn't mean they are undisciplined. It is stupid, but MANY coaches believe this crap.

Did you really ask that question? Besides Stephenville, Lake Travis, Southlake Carrol, Allen.........

I will never understand why all "disciplined" coaches are run heavy. I will never understand why coaches say "you have to establish the run" to win games. I will never understand why "being a players coach" is somehow paired with being undisciplined. You can be a players coach, be disciplined and throw the dang ball. These three things DO go together. Sick and tired of old school, ground and pound, my way or the highway coaches that think they know it all and invented the dang game.

Have not heard much lately from Bronco land. Was wondering how the transition was going. Are there any new faces?

I'm going to say Dayton makes the biggest jump, rise or improvement. Anybody know who the OC and the DC are? I'm sure the offense will be better and the defense has to improve.

Is East Chambers or WOS the best overall athletic program in SETX? Not talking about athletes, talking about quality of all sports and ability to compete at a very high level.
