Not sure. The schedule I received from Huffman several weeks ago had them playing Tarkington tonight and not WO-S. It could have been talked about between the two coaches (WO-S, Huffman) when schedules were being put together to play but never settled on a date. Looks like some miscommunication on someone's part. Sometimes a coach mistakenly double books a date and doesn't catch it till after schedules have been made. It happens more often than you would expect.

Nederland has that title with 9 wins. PN-G and Jasper has 8. Vidor and Silsbee has 7.

TABC State Rankings 2022-23/FINAL RANKING

I was kind of impressed with those first two wins but now it looks like more of how bad those first two opponents really are to how good is HF. I plan on attending Tuesday night's game with a state ranked 3A team in Orangefield. HF possibly will have their two additions from football playing. Will see for myself.

Not a fan of it either. Tradition at Kyle Field was to never allow the crowd to go on to field but that has waned in the last several seasons. I honestly didn't like that we rushed the field last night after going 5-7 for the year.

Silsbee (60) vs Madisonville (21) - FINAL
AggiesAreWe replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
O-line play has definitely improved thru the season. Pass protection has been there all year (with the help of Brisbane getting rid of the ball like you stated) but early on the run blocking was lacking. Now that has improved greatly. -

I agree. Miller didn't "torch the Tech guy" like it was stated. It was more so great passes by Brisbane. Miller had 4 catches on the night for about 100 yards. Torching would be 8-10 catches for 200 yards. I thought the coverage over all was very good on Miller. -
Lumberton (23) vs Tyler Chapel Hill (35) - FINAL
AggiesAreWe replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
I think he was pointing to the fact that Lumberton gave up 35 points in the 2nd half. -
That will probably put Alabama in the playoff unless SC runs the table.

Are you suggesting that you are Perrault's "real coach"?

Correction. It was 1988 against Tomball. I was incorrect with posting 1989. Also, you are correct that the '98 team played two games in the Astrodome to make it 4 total games for Silsbee in the dome.
