I would have to give that some thought. But, what I cherish and miss is the after game parties that my parents and some very close friends of theirs from Jasper would host each year after the game. Dubose's and Foley's from Jasper were longtime friends of my parents and when the game was played in Jasper, one of those would host the after game party. My parents would host when it was played in Silsbee. That went on for many many years. Some really good times.

2nd round of playoffs would be the 20th. That's the Friday before that Monday the 23rd. I anticipate Silsbee to at least make the 2nd round. Even if they lose that game I don't expect too many varsity basketball players to suit up on that Monday.

If Silsbee is still in the football playoffs, there will be plenty of seats.

But, if Silsbee is somehow still in football playoffs, this game may not be played or it will be nothing but JV players for Silsbee. Silsbee has 90% of the varsity basketball players on the varsity football team.

My Week 7 schedule: Thursday Baytown Sterling at Beaumont West Brook pregame meal at Lupe Tortilla Friday Jasper at Silsbee (homecoming) fried chicken in the press box Saturday Incarnate Word at Lamar pregame meal at tailgate (menu is fried catfish and shrimp) I had not planned on attending Silsbee homecoming. Was going to attend either WO-S at Hamshire-Fannett or Orangefield at East Chambers or Shepherd at Hardin-Jefferson or PA Memorial at La Porte. But I was asked to be a part of a presentation before the game from an organization that I serve on so I'll be in Silsbee Friday night. Where will you be this week?

Silsbee has won 7 straight and 9 of the last 10 vs. Jasper.

Not to answer for bullets, but I do know that HF does not use NFHS or Hudl for their varsity football home games. Only home broadcast is our audio broadcast here.
