Looking at the date of this reprimand, he could have violated practice policies by starting the season too soon, having practices on days not allowed or breaking the hours limit for the week. Several things can cause a public reprimand.

I believe he is referring to the 18-2 run after OF started out 10-0 (made the score 18-12 Kountze) Actually it was a 21-2 run for Kountze (led 21-12). The 35-12 run is how the first half ended. After OF started the game 10-0, Kountze then finished the first half out scoring OF 35-12 for a 35-22 halftime score. Basically the 18-2 run is within the overall 35-12 run. Hope that clarifies that issue.

If a coach gets a technical foul and ejected from the game, they get a public reprimand.

I don't keep individual stats but I would say Sells had around 10 attempts. Scales shot no FT attempts.

I'm only speaking about the numbers. My opinion about game officiating doesn't matter. The foul rule change has something to do with the fact that OF didn't go to the line as much. Now a team's foul count gets wiped clean after the first and third quarters where it used to just continue to add up. So basically the first half of the 2nd and 4th quarters are free to foul without sending a player to the line. Unless it's a shooting foul. The rule change helps a more aggressive team. I would agree that the officiating allowed for a more aggressive style of play last night. For both sides. Did the officials miss some calls? You bet. It happens every game I go too. But I don't think you can lay this game completely at the officials feet.

Shooting 8 more FT's is not the game in a nutshell. Remember, 6 of those FT's were in the last 40 seconds of the game when Orangefield fouled 3 times to stop the clock. Again, Kountze had 14 team fouls, Orangefield had 13 with 4 of those in last minute of the game.

Very first time these two have played each other in the 1st round. The line; Silsbee -28 I haven't decided yet if I am going to this one or not. It's between this doubleheader and the one at East Chambers. (HF/Vidor and Huffman/WO-S). Leaning towards EC. Just not much of a girls basketball fan but in this situation, it will be the better game of the two at the Montagne.

Wrinkle had a very good game. He did everything he could to get his team back in it. Kid played his guts out. Sells made the decision that his team wasn't losing this game and he played that way. Both teams were spent at the end of this one.

I get that. But whose to say this could have been a clerical error? He may have been told they were eligible. I do not know how Crosby handles their business in regards to eligibility. The coach may or may not have actually known. But, the bottom line is it does fall back on the coach and the admins.

In regards to the 3 point shooting. Kountze only attempted three 3 pointers in 2nd half after going 7/15 in first half. Orangefield was the opposite. They were 4/6 in first half but shot 5/15 in 2nd half. At one point Orangefield was 6/9 from three but then finished 3/12. As for the FT shooting, Kountze made a decision in 2nd half to go to the rim and not take threes which drew more fouls, particularly in 4th Q. Plus Orangefield started fouling in 4th Q which put Kountze at the line. Kountze shot a total of 17 FT's for the game but 8 came late 3rd and all of 4th when Kountze started driving to basket. Kountze ended up having one more foul than Orangefield.

From what I was told, two transfers were never cleared to be eligible. One from CE King, the other from Channelview. Have not heard anything in regards to kids not attending Crosby or have already graduated. I have a hard time claiming "cheating" here. They played ineligible players. If you want to call it cheating, so be it.
