  1. Hmmm, I wonder where you got that line from? :
  2. There was no better place than the "Dome". I cannot remember the year, but I watched 4 playoff games in that stadium all in one day. First game was at 10am, the last one started at 8:30pm. About 14 hours of football, gotta love it!!
  3. Gabe, you need to tighten up the ship over there. Van needs to do more research. Woodard was the head man there at Navarro, not an assistant.
  4. Gabe, you need to get on Van, tell him to do a little more research. Coach Woodard was not an assistant at Navarro, he was the head man.
  5. I am looking into the possibilities of broadcasting some of these games, mainly the last 2 days. I will stay in touch.
  6. Beaumont Enterprise delivery person assaulted in Dayton!!! (claims irate Bronco fans were angry at lack of media coverage) Lumberton defeats Nederland like their lives depended on it!! Silsbee gives Hardin-Jefferson a taste of what lies a head in the basketball season, win 42-0 Barbay defeats Alvarez in cage match to decide 7 OT tie between Kirbyville and Newton and on Sunday morning......... A couple of Big 12 officials admit to wrong doings, say they intentionaly missed the block in the back that allowed Shipley to score on punt return

  12. Getting real heavy with this reverse psychology, aren't we Nos? Where did you learn this from, Sutherland? News for ya, it's not going to work.
  13. So you and tigersvoice were the two at the setx table I saw close to the press box? I was going to go up, but didn't want to interrupt your broadcast. Yes, that was us at our makeshift broadcast booth. We here at Setxsports go to great lengths to get some of these games on the web. You should have come up, always like putting a face with the names.
  14. Maybe for halftime. Get with me before the game. We can talk a little high school basketball at the half.
  15. Yes, you got to love that tune. If you are home this Friday night, listen to our broadcast of the HJ-Silsbee game. I always start our broadcast off with that song, the original version. Pregame will start at 7pm. Tune in. Are you the play by play or color on your broadcast? I am the play-by-play. Tigersvoice( Wayne Brasher ) is the color man.
  16. Only to the HJ responses. The question was for WOS fans. They would be the only ones with an unbiased opinion. I will not question any of their responses, good or bad.
  17. Horndawg, you should have come up to the broadcast table. We were right amongst the longhorn fans. ;D
  18. According to the WOS coaches that I talked to before the game, all of their players were there. Besides, that was not the first game back. That was the third game after the storm. You are reaching, TheRef.
  19. I'll repost this for my rebuttle: The question is not if Silsbee could run on WOS, it's can Silsbee run on HJ. Nobody has ran well against WOS, including the BIG BAD HJ run game . What, ya'll got maybe 25 yards rushing against the Stangs? Total offense of what, 40 yards? The Tigers had 210 yards of offense against WOS, 170 passing, 40 rushing. Yes, we only scored 7 points but if my math is correct, that is 7 more than what HJ scored. Also Silsbee had 170 more yards of offense than HJ. The Tigers will be able to run and pass on HJ, you can count on it. Defensively, the Tigers faired much better than HJ did or any other team has against WOS all year. We limited the Stangs to their lowest point and yardage total for the season and that was an overtime game to boot. WOS didn't get on the scoreboard until the 4th quarter. What, it was 20 to nothing at the half of ya'lls game. Silsbee may not shut HJ down like WOS did, but the Tiger defense is the next best thing.

  21. and if that happens then they deserve to be sitting at home Agreed. Hopefully we'll play well this week and have some confidence heading into the playoffs. We're gonna need it... How good is chapel hill?? I hear Chapel Hill is top ten material. I am afraid that Chapel Hill will be too good for the Dawgs to handle.
  22. I am the first to say it is always about the match ups and not about who played who. But for conversation purposes, seeing that the Stangs have played both the Hawks and the Tigers, who do you guys consider the better team out of HJ and Silsbee? Why? I ask this because of some of the comments I have read on other threads regarding these two teams. Thanks in advance for all your input.
  23. You have got to be kidding me, after HJ shut down WOS running game, do you really think that Silsbee will be able to run the ball on HJ, Evidently they did not do so good running the ball on WOS, they only scored 7 points. Wake up Silsbee is no WOS. HJ by 3! Okay, someone please help me, I am trying to make sense of this post. The question is not if Silsbee could run on WOS, it's can Silsbee run on HJ. Nobody has ran well against WOS, including the BIG BAD HJ run game :. What, ya'll got maybe 25 yards rushing against the Stangs? Total offense of what, 40 yards? 24. Vidor has been eliminated. Even if Vidor beats Livingston and Lumberton beats Ned, Nederland would still have the tie breaker with Vidor with the head to head win. Livingston would not be tied because their record would be 5-2, not 4-3 like Vidor and Ned's would be. Also, even if Central were to lose to PNG and finish 4-3, Vidor still loses the three way tie because they have lost to both Nederland and Central.
