From what the info that I recieved he had a swollen big toe, kind of like turf toe. They were just being overly cautious with him since Silsbee was up 27-0 at the half. He was not needed in the second half. As for his status for this Friday, I will know more tomorrow.

I am not sure, I'll check on it. As for what team Huffman mostly resembles, I would say Bridge City. I talked to a Cleveland coach last night at halftime, he said based on what he saw from the Tigers in the first half, Silsbee will have no problems with Huffman. The Tigers have too many athletes for the Falcons to handle. He said Silsbee's defense has too much speed for them. He predicted a Silsbee win by more than 3 td's. But, with that said, just a couple of years ago, we thought the same about Splendora and barely got out of there with a win. You got to play the game.

I do not quite understand the question of the thread. Are you asking what team will be feeling more "pressure"? C'mon skip, you were taught better grammar at WOS, I assume.

One of the best JV squads in years is what i've been told. Being undefeated is only half the story. This team gave up very few points (I would be surprised if it was 25, I thought it was less than 20). They not only won, but they dominated! They beat Nederland JV 33-7 and Memorial JV 36-6. The only close game they had all year was with Silsbee (of course) which they won 12-0. Great job Stangs, looking forward to seeing you next year! I believe the score was 12-7. I am pretty sure that Coach Nuemann had laid the ground rules to his program long before this incident. The players knew what the rules were, but still decided to go against them. Now they have to pay the price. Kudos Coach. It is a very intersting point that was made. Had it been next week, I wonder what the outcome would have been?
