I am going to hold off making my after game post until I speak with some Tiger coaches as to what really happened on that last play of regulation. We all know Johnson took the knee, but why? From our broadcast booth, there seemed to be a lot of confusion both on the field and sideline. I will say this, this lost will hurt for a long time. :'(

District 21-3a opens up play with the marquee match up of the district, Silsbee Tigers taking on the Mustangs of West Orange-Stark at Dan R. Hooks Stadium. This game could very well determine the district champ in just the first game as most experts have these two teams as the top in 21-3A. Silsbee has given WOS fits in the two years they have been in this district together, but the Stangs have came out on top both times, 20-13 in '06 and 17-6 in '07. No other team has even come close to knocking off the Mustangs, which they will try to keep the district win streak alive starting tonight. Is Armstrong a freshman? One of the announcers was raving last week about some freshman Jasper running back and I know Ellis is not a freshman. Armstrong is a sophomore and Ellis is a Senior Thanks. That rules him out. But that is still good for Jasper. Two more years of playing time! So, is Jasper playing a freshman, or perhaps it was a Silsbee defensive player? Or I just totally misunderstood.... No Sir, No freshmans on Jasper varsity unknown about Silsbee Silsbee's starting inside linebacker is a freshman.

Heard this was a tough loss for the Tigers. Silsbee had a couple of chances at the end to win this game, couldn't punch through. From what I heard, WOS JV is very good, have been blowing out all their opponents.

Now Burrell with a solo shot, Phils lead 3-2, bottom 6th.

1. WOS 2. Silsbee 3. HF 4. HJ 5. BC 6. Orangefield Best match up will be tomorrow night between Silsbee and WOS.

I think you mean "seeding". The districts have no say so in what seed each team will be if the case doesn't require a tiebreaker. The two largest schools will go Div.1 and the two smallest will go Div. 2. How they are seeded will be determined by order of finish in district. Thanks for the grammar correction... There is a reason why I am a math teacher. Odds are in 20-4A there will probably be a tie breaker involved in the third and fourth place "seed". Could be a log jam of three teams involved. I am inclined to agree with you. I believe there will be a tiebreaker but there shouldn't be as much controversy. With 2 schools going to each division and not 1 and 2 like last year, it should work itself out. We'll see. :

Okay, I don't agree with the poster stating Silsbee will win, but that's not a fair comparison of the Texans winning the Super Bowl. Houston doesn't have a shot at winning the Super Bowl this year while I believe Silsbee has a chance to beat WOS each and every year.

No, Coach Comeaux was refering to the 3 rb's that are mentioned here for our Setxsports.com Player of the Week which is Grogan, Hanna, and Thomas. I was refering to the 5 players that made the list for player of the week, 3 offensive and 2 defensive players which he thought was just 4. I corrected him on that. Nobody said that Josh played offense and I wasn't speaking of Chris.

I did not post this story to imply that Lamar had that many students on campus. I saw where the 3,200 made most of the difference, but it still doesn't deny the fact that this is Lamar's largest enrollment ever. There was no hidden agenda with this post, only giving out some info, which is truthful. Nowhere in that article did it state or imply that Lamar had that many students on campus. On the other hand, you seem to always want to point out any misgivings on Lamar's part. You say you only speak the truth yet it's always the case of you making sure that Lamar stays this notch below your precious Sam. It seems that you think this site needs you to do this particular job, by doing your best to keep Lamar down. It's getting quite old. I don't think I have ever read any post by you that supported anything positive towards Lamar. You seem to always redirect to a comparison to Sam when the thread may not have anything to do with SHSU. I don't have a problem with you posting the "truth". What I do have a problem with is you trying to spin anything positive about Lamar into a negative.
