  1. I agree. I feel the same way about Shannon.
  2. Oh, I'm sorry, this is the baseball forum. My bad. Okay, here are my picks: WOS HJ Silsbee in no particular order. ;D I figured these are the teams that represented 21-3A in football and basketball, why not baseball.
  3. AAW is mad that it will be bigger and better than SILSBEE! Not mad. Beaumont SHOULD be bigger. I mean they do have a 100,000 population compared to Silsbee's 6,000. But I know how Beaumont is, this thing will drag on longer than it should. Somebody will screw up a few times and there will be delay after delay after delay........
  4. Difficult? Maybe I need to go back over my brackets. I mean, I did fill out 9 different ones in about 15 minutes. ;D
  5. Across from Ford Park. Completion date: 2040
  6. I figured, I no longer needed this extra $50 million laying around, might as well give it to a good cause.
  7. I know, I know. I am getting sucked back in by being asked these questions. Can't be rude. ;D
  8. I remember that Nos. They were very good basketball players to be football players. I would tell you what Silsbee did to Jasper in basketball those two years, but it might come back and haunt me. ;D
  9. That was about par for the course for running backs against us for those 2 miserable years. We were the smallest 4A in the state :'( Yes, that was some pretty rough times for you guys. Kind of like our last two years as a 4A.
  10. I am not sure, but I think that is correct. I know he played when HJ was 4A and was in our district. He ran for over 300 yards against them in one game.
  11. Silsbee Hardin-Jefferson WOS
  12. A fine man, a very giving man. ;D
  13. I remember a football player named James Hunter who went on to play for the Lions. Hunter was an exceptional athlete. Not just a good football player, All-American in college and All Pro in the NFL, but James was a very good basketball player as well. He was a very important part of the Tiger team who went to the state tourney in 1972. Tigers lost to state champion Odessa Ector in the semis. Hunter was also a fine trackster as well.
  14. This is correct. Great athlete, not so great person.
  15. Very nice. When will it be completed? 2040?
  16. I do know, but that's for another thread. Even though I am guilty of posting about Mark Henry on this thread, let's please get back on topic.
  17. click link for broadcast [Hidden Content]
  18. Due to some other game being postponed, I will travel up to Kirbyville to broadcast the Orangefield Bobcats and Kirbyville Wildcats baseball game. These are two of the better teams in our area and this should be a great matchup. Broadcast time will be at 6:45pm, first pitch at 7pm. Catch all the action right here at SETXsports! Mike Sanchez, Tiger Sports and SETXsports.com broadcaster
  19. Not trusting my memory, but wasnt he also successful as an Olympian? Wonder why it wasn't someone from Ozen? Mark never won a medal as a two-time Olympian weightlifter. He never quite could get the techniques down that makes up an Olympian weightlifter, it's very different from powerlifting. But, for Mark to make the team twice was a testament of his great strength. Only 3 super heavyweights make the US Olympic team. That comes from a very big pool of lifters nation wide. I believe that to be a great accomplishment in itself.
