Silsbee swept Vidor 3-0. I believe none of the games were close.

I will start by saying again that nobody wins or loses scrimmages. I think most folks know where I stand on that issue. After watching this scrimmage it was very clear to me who was the better team on the field tonight. VIDOR!!! It was very rare to see a WOS defense get steamrolled like they got tonight. It was a clear case of the Mustang defense being out manned. It is very rare to see that. I never thought I would see a team only pass just once over an entire game and be as successful as the Pirates were over the Stangs. I believe Vidor will do this to most teams this season. They truely are a force to be reckoned with. My pick to win 20-4A!! I was also impressed with Vidor's defense. I really thought that WOS speed would enable them to move the ball on the Pirates, particularly with the passing game. Other than what WOS did late in the game against mostly a 2nd team defense, Vidor controlled that side of the ball as well. It was a very dominant performance by Vidor tonight. WOS has some things to work out and they don't seem to have the depth that they will need down the stretch. But with that coaching staff that the Mustangs have over there, mark my words, they'll get back on track.

I do not see complete credibility in those numbers for athletic purposes, if not all students (the 3k-5k who are through that online teaching program/whatever) are paying student fees pertaining to athletics. Didn't we come to that conclusion - that athletic fees were not coming from those students? With SFA and SHSU adding bowling - you guys are next! Hope UCA adds as well. Then, we can get Ark St and La Tech as affiliate members for SLC bowling! Or are you going to add sand volleyball? I think that most the SLC is. I would much rather see women playing sand volleyball than bowling, but that's just me.

This scrimmage has been moved up an hour to 6pm for Varsity from it's original time of 7pm.

According to James, it will be 10:30. The game starts at 7pm, then the news will follow only being a 30 minute newscast, then the show would follow.

Looking at the 4A poll, the highest ranked Region III team is Dayton at #16. I cannot remember when a Region III team was not in the preseason top 10.

According to my sources, he is practicing with the football team. I confirmed this with a Kountze coach.

He has finally retired from broadcasting. He has some health and work issues that were keeping him from doing it this year so he decided to just hang'em up. I'll surely miss him. Someone will have some big shoes to fill.
