  1. A couple of good looking pics on that homepage, particularly one of them. ;D
  2. This is an old message but I had to say something here... The Memorial Head Coach will not be defined by his first game!!! No head coach is. Lets give him a body of work of about two years before we judgew what kind of coach he will be. Totally agree with that one Short. Tell that to SFA85. ;D
  3. I agree Gun. The Mustang recievers has to improve on their ball catching skills. QB Garrett is getting it to them, but he can't catch it for them. Speed is great, but it does you no good if you cannot catch the ball.
  4. I agree. Just basing solely on what I saw at Kirbyville's and Diboll's scrimmages Saturday, I believe Kirbyville will have the better team. A lot of things can happen before then, teams can better or get worse. But right now I would have to give Kirbyville the edge. Hey Aggies, how did Diboll look in their scrimmage? I know they're young this year with only two returning starters. Just like K,ville they'll have a new qb leading the team, but from what I hear their sophomore Rb is the real deal. It seems Diboll and K,ville are both in a rebuild season, so that opening game should answer alot of questions for both programs. First of all, the playing condition of the field that Diboll and HJ scrimmaged on was not very good. It is a new practice field for HJ with the sod just being laid a week ago and it showed. It was very slippery and it was difficult for both team to move the ball down field. Diboll looked okay. They do have two good looking players in the QB and RB. They also have two huge offensive tackles but I was not impressed with their blocking abilities. The Diboll QB had to do a lot of roll outs to complete any passes. The HJ defense is very salty. Diboll looks okay on the defensive side, has good size with some speed. This was just the first scrimmage and with the playing conditions, maybe it is not fair to assess either team in that scrimmage. I still say Kirbyville takes that opener and I don't see Diboll making the playoffs.
  5. Southern Cal has some huge kids on their team and I am not speaking of the Trojans. They just won and look to be the team to beat at the World Series.

  7. That's going to be pretty darn close to the score. Jasper will take their lumps in this one.
  8. LMAO!!! Good one LAZEEK!
  9. Ohhhhh, you guys starting to see things my way now, huh? ;D
  10. I am not going to predict a winner either for the simple fact that NOBODY WINS SCRIMMAGES!!!! If your tigers beat dayton or WO-S you would be calling it a win!!1 ;D :
  11. I was told that Hooks and staff want to go scout Nederland/Jasper and Silsbee/LCM scrimmages. That's 4 teams that the Mustangs will be playing in the coming weeks. I think that is a very smart decision. Where will these two games be played? For those of us who will need to fill in a time slot on Friday? The Nederland/Jasper scrimmage is in Jasper. Silsbee/LCM is at LCM.

  13. Yang wins it!! First Asian player to ever win a major. Tiger's streak is over.
  14. No use arguing. You only see it one way, but that's exactly what this means!!!!!! 59 year old Tom Watson almost won the British Open. Can you imagine where he would be right now in his prime??? Jack's challengers stayed on top or made charges of their own. Watch the missed shots and over par shooting tomorrow. Vijay missed some great opportunities today or he would have the lead. I actually hope I'm wrong!!!! It would be better for the game of golf!!!!!!!!!! You say I only see it one way as if you are any different. I guess Tiger needs to lose in order for the challengers to be better!!! Maybe once he starts losing you will give him credit. Now that is laughable!!!! No, I need to see them NOT fall apart. Nobody makes runs at Tiger. Now that's laughable. Maybe Yang will hang in there. We shall see. What was the guys name that missed the 1 foot putt on the last hole of the british open for Nicklaus to win????? Have you EVER seen that happen for Tiger. NOPE!!!! Fact of the matter remains Jack came back to win several majors because players folded down the stretch against him. Tiger just doesnt give up leads!! Until today! ;D
  15. WHAT A SHOT!!!!!!!! What was the name of that thread that got merged with this one? Yep, it's OVER!!!!!!
  16. Tiger just got lucky on 17. Yang choked that first putt. He could have had a two shot lead going to the last hole. Just one shot now.
  17. I think he did that. I think he said job #1 is focusing on the play and not what the officials are doing. I didn't take his post as a complaint about officials but that some of his teammates were doing too much crying about them instead of getting after it on the field. I think he confirmed that a little later. I agree with you Grad. Buckin was not making excuses. He was stating that he thought his teams attitudes needed adjusting. Instead of complaining about the refs, they should have been focusing on playing better and doing their job. I stood on the sidelines last night and got an up close view of the Dayton team losing their cool at the end when things got tight. It definetly affected how they played there late in the game. I also witnessed Buckin chew his team out a time or two trying to get them back focused on playing the game instead of complaining. You can tell that Buckin (#45) is a leader on that team because they settled down after he voiced his concern. Buckin, you are a great player and it showed last night. I saw several of the WOS coaches congratulate you last night. Even heard Toby tell you they just couldn't block you at all last night. You played a very good game. It was good meeting you last night. Good luck the rest of the season.
  18. Nah, just making my rounds. Taking pics for the site and doing some stats to post here for the members. Silsbee coaches don't need me to scout, I believe they have that covered.
  19. Yes, we should meet. Look forward to it.
  20. Kirbyville's offensive stats against Silsbee: rushing 21 carries 127 yards 1TD passing 2-4 52 yards 1TD total 179 yards in 25 plays first downs 6
  21. Sorry, I meant to say Kirbyville. It was a long day yesterday, visited 4 scrimmages, took stats for 2 of them.
  22. The Silsbee Lady Tigers won the Vidor Tournament for the second year in a row by defeating Memorial, Nederland and Orangefield today! Tori Gardner and Beatrice Douglas were named to the All Tournament team while Chelsea Neely was named Most Valuable Player! All of the Lady Tigers stepped up their game to help bring this championship home! We are proud of you See, total domination. ;D
