Oh, I want to give a shout out to Dayton's #45 Hill. You are a very good player young man. Definetly the best defensive lineman on the field tonight. Good job.

I would have liked to have seen the Dayton starting QB play the whole game. He did not play the whole 4th quarter but he looked a little bummed up though. Was a little dissappointed that Dayton didn't throw it down field more. They mostly threw it out in the flats which IMO played into WOS hands. WOS killed themselves in the first half with penalties. Had 7 in the first half. I also was suprised to see that WOS is not as big as some were saying they were. Looked to be a very typical size Mustang squad. Very simular to Silsbee.

Tale of two halfs. Dayton dominated the first half and let a couple of opportunities get away from them or they could have scored another TD. WOS dominated the second half, taking advantage of a long pass down to the goal line and recovering a fumble and running it in for their last score. WOS did a lot better job catching the ball in the second half.

Score was 2-1 Kirbyville Silsbee's 2nd team ran 12 plays against Deweyville's 1st team defense, gained 260 yards and 4 TD's.

I kept team offensive stats for both teams in this scrimmage. Here is the breakdown by halfs and total. 1st Half Dayton rushing 21 carries 104 yards 1TD passing 6-11 35 yards total 139 yards on 32 plays first downs 8 WOS rushing 10 carries 35 yards passing 1-9 -2 yards total 33 yards on 19 plays first downs 2 2nd Half Dayton rushing 10 carries 13 yards passing 2-6 12 yards total 25 yards on 16 plays first downs 1 WOS rushing 24 carries 74 yards 2 TDs passing 6-6 92 yards total 166 yards on 30 plays first downs 9 Total Dayton rushing 31 carries 117 yards passing 8-17 47 yards total 164 yards on 48 plays first downs 9 WOS rushing 34 carries for 109 yards passing 7-15 90 yards total 199 yards on 49 plays first downs 11

Sullivan is a good athlete. I have to wonder if that trouble he got into last year had anything to do with him transfering.

Like you said litex, we probably won't find out till mid season or at the end who the best player is. I agree, coming into this season, you probably have to go with Silsbee QB Jeremy Johnson, who was this website's Junior of the Year last season in our post season awards.

These players were nominated by the members of this site then voted on by all the administrators and moderators. ;D ;D ;D ya too bad for every one its only the end of the season that matters and not the preseason so ya there ya go Well if it didn't matter then why were you politicing for you to be on the preseason team? well to be honest it just make me mad that the only team in that chart that went to state last year only has one player in the first team... now tell me if to you that makes any sense at all... Makes a lot of sense. Last year was last year.

No. They will play it just like it was a game. Dayton will come at this just likllye it was the state championship game. Sure it would be fun to win,but you can bet the coaching staff wont be leading with their ego's their aim is further down the road for a return date at the big dance.
