Because Dayton would smash lumberton and I think central has played better competition and played admirably. This is just my poll meant to get the juices flowing before the "10" from the triangle ignore all logic and vote State-Finalist Dayton 5th place in the big school poll simple because they live close to BH-89. Wow, a little touch of sour grapes here. Wins over a very weak 19-4A isn't a whole lot to beat your chest about. BTW, that State-Finalist was last year, this poll is THIS YEAR.

I got Vidor in this one, 6-3, all the scoring in the first quarter.

In regards to the noisemakers, UIL outlawed all noisemakers at games starting this year. The noisemakers should not have even been allowed into the stadium. Go to the UIL website, it explains clearly what cannot be brought into stadiums. Personally, I hate this new rule.

Tiger Stadium in Silsbee has a capacity of 10,000, not 9,300. The 9,300 was before they added the little horseshoe seating.

Hold on a minute, don't lump me into the "excuse" makers. Both teams have to play on the field, regardless of conditions. I never once said it was or wasn't an advantage for any team. Let's make that perfectly clear. My concern was that it looked like BISD just let that field go since they will not be playing there after this year. I have seen many a playing field in my time, that is one of the worst. Plain and simple. Nobody has St. Augustine grass playing fields, c'mon.

I agree, Kerry. The field is in bad shape. That's the worst I have seen all year. Walked on Silsbee's, WOS, Vidor, Diboll, Lumberton, LCM, HJ, and Evadale's, the Babe's is the worst I have seen this year. It's like they kind of let it go since they will be moving to a new stadium next year.

That's an understatement. I walked across Zaharias Stadium field yesterday and was swarmed by those pesky things. Fans, better bring plenty of skeeter spray with you. Players, better bring some long cleated shoes with you too. That field is not in good shape at all. Terrible actually. Someone was talking about that in the Vidor thread and Soulja said it's fine. What, the skeeters or the field? Neither are IMO.

I knew you would come through. Some people just ain't patient enough. AAW, notice that the game between Spurger and Silsbee has been moved to Spurger. Yes, I noticed that. I wonder why? It is the last non-district game for both teams. Friday night game, I'll be there with my headset on. I am not sure but the silsbee coach had to move it for some reason Found out why game was moved. Silsbee girls has a district game at home that night.
