They will probably face Coldspring in the regional semifinal, who gave Kirbyville a really good test in the first week of the season. Things could be different the next time around. ;)

I am at Da Butch and will be bringing you up to the minute updates of today's game between Channelview and West Brook.

I really had no problem with WOS going for it on 4th and 1 from their own 48 with just over 3 minutes left in the game. It's at midfield and all the Mustangs were trying to do was run out the clock. I can guarentee you WOS would have not scored by choice had they converted that 4th down. The 2nd quarter was the ball game. Silsbee just could not stop the WOS running attack. Giving up 393 yards rushing on the night, over 500 yards total offense, will not win many games. Congrats to the Mustangs on a very good win. I think WOS is on the verge of a deep run in the playoffs.

Tonight, the Silsbee Tigers will travel over to Orange to take on the district leading WOS Mustangs at DR Hooks Stadium in a battle of two of the top teams in 21-3A!! Silsbee (5-3, 2-1) kept alive their chances of getting a piece of the district championship by pulling out a win over HJ last week, 30-20. WOS (5-2, 3-0) got a big victory over Bridge City, 28-0, to put themselves atop of the district standings. The Tigers are the defending 21-3A champs and the Mustangs want that title back. Silsbee defeated WOS last year, 13-7, to dethrone the Mustangs. WOS leads the series between these two teams, 14-3. Broadcast time will be at 7pm, with kickoff at 7:30pm. The top backs mentioned were McGuire, Shankle, Shelton, Graham, Hunter, Arline, Spearman, Price and others that were mentioned all played while Silsbee was 4A. So, what's your point?
