  1. Actually, I had a much better come back for you than that, but I figured I'd better edit it to keep from offending more than just you... Oh, and thanks for the spelling lesson. Now if you can just perfect your reading comprehension then we we'll be OK. Judex, you, pretty much, summed up everything I was about to post. Thanks bro. You did the right thing for the right reason, not the reason you posted. Glad to see you have some reinforcements waiting in the wings. Why don't you explain the "real reason" then. You seem to think there are underlying meanings to everything... I think you need to stick to the obvious because that, apparently, is escaping you. As for my reinforcements. Maybe some think they can try to help you with the obvious better than I. I guess he may be falling short as well. Like he said, maybe you can't be helped... I think everyone around here knows I can handle my own business. careful gas... dont you know how many people hes banned! :'( if you dont you need to go ask the softball people! ;D ;D (use your best old west voice) hes a legend round these here parts! baddog is not a moderator. Bigdog is a moderator. You have them confused.
  2. Who are you trying to kid? I know who you are, trust me. BTW, I broadcast all of Silsbee's games, I know all the players. Yes, Silsbee has a player with the last name McDonald, but I know his dad very well and it ain't you.
  3. It's not "you guys" I see one person posting this stuff. I'm sure you wouldn't like all OF fans lumped together and neither do we. Why do you have so much disdain for WOS? The communities are within arms reach of each other. What would make you pull for Kville over us? I, personally, always pull for OF and am very happy with their success this year. Just wondering what got under your skin. Hey Gas, I don't think Bleed has any disdain for WOS. He has made a post explaining his feelings on that. Also, we both know that only a couple of the "homers" are on here with the excuses and "wait till next year" montra. You and several others actually don't have the blue and silver glasses on when you make your comments.
  4. Are trying to say that you don't know if YOU or YOUR SON is a senior or junior?
  5. coop, you think the Stangs will better next year? I think so, They have several Sophomores playing on both sides of the ball, QB, RB will be back as well. 2nd string QB could be another Beasley, he's a Freshmen now starting JV QB. They won't be as young the next 2 years, watch out. We all know WOS has talent but it is always next year will be the team. It sounds like you guys have given up on this years team. Everytime WOS does not play up to you guys expectations you are quick to blame. Lets see it is the OC fault, the kicking game sucks, Too many penalties, what else? As long as you guys are winning everything is fine and yes you did win but not like you wanted. When you start losing the fans will disappear. All you have to do is look at the other sports. Thick or thin you guys are not. You may not experience that in football for a while but someday you will. WOW!! Good one Bleed.
  6. I was very suprised with the scoreboard myself. It only had the time and score. It doesn't show down and distance, ball on yardline, and timeouts. We had a hard time trying to get the distances for first downs to give on our broadcast. Also, we thought Silsbee had some timeouts left at the end of the game but didn't know for sure because it wasn't available on the scoreboard. Made it tough for us in the booth. Also, the clock operator wasn't the greatest. Had to reset the clock a few times last night. I'm curious, maybe I should ask my brother. Before my dad retired from officiating, part of the team was a Timekeeper I think. I know he worked a few games doing that, I guess they don't do that anymore? Any refs on the forum that can answer this and I'm not referring to the backjudge who keeps the official time but too someone who actually sits in the booth and takes care of it. I believe the clock is still run by an official. I know that is the way it is run at Silsbee, just the clock. The other part of the scorboard is run by a volunteer.
  7. I will pull my best Coop. We had injuries, the floor was slick, they run a terrible tourney, the sun got in their eyes, the whole team was sick, they played mostly their JV players,........... Silsbee still dominates!!!!!!! ;D
  8. I have never been impressed with IPreps stats. I have kept stats for all 3 Silsbee games so far this year, and mine seem to match Silsbee's coaching staffs, but never IPreps.

  10. Kirbyville will not be moving up to 3A unless the UIL really drops the 3A bottom number. I personally spoke to Alvarez at Silsbee's scrimmage and he told me that they have dropped a few since the last realignment. I have a real good friend who is the offensive line coach for Kirbyville and he told me this summer that they had dropped in enrollment. Kirbyville will remain 2A.

  13. Silsbee travels across Village Creek to take on their neighbors the Lumberton Raiders. This is the 21st meeting between these two schools, with Silsbee leading the overall series 15-5. Lumberton has won 4 of the last 5 though. They have not played each other since '03 with Silsbee's last win coming in 2000. This game also has two of the area's finest players in Lumberton's Anthony Beard and Silsbee's Jeremy Johnson, both highly touted and heavily recruited players. This should be a lot of fun!! Broadcast time will be 7:10 with kickoff to follow at 7:30. Just click the link provided in this thread and listen in to some great high school football action. Silsbee vs. Lumberton, Village Creek Classic!!! Only hear it at SETXsports.com!!! Mike Sanchez, Setxsports.com broadcaster [Hidden Content]
  14. Uh, last year. HF beat OF 27-21 last year.
  15. I spoke to Chris's dad Tuesday night. He told me that Chris only has 20 players suited out for varsity. It's tough to get those kids to come out for football. Hopefully he'll have some success there.
