[/quote] Yes, they heard the community's voice and adhered to it. Pretty simple. They could have chosen a different path but went with the right thing and chose the right man. however the procedure. To state that the sup and committee was not influenced by what the community wanted would be naive.

The school board still has to vote him in. The sup is only recommending Thompson for the job. Let's hope the board "does it's job" and votes him in.

There is also a possibility of another 3 way tie. BC, HF and Silsbee could finish at 7-3 with each having split with one another.

What I meant by "tough spot" was that all the pressure is on Decello to win a state championship this coming season. If he doesn't, it will be a total failure since a state title for next season was predicted by the "chosen" folks at HF.

I would say the best two runningbacks returning for next season are Chace Bertrand of PNG and Sherman Gilbert of Coldspring. Bertrands numbers:  326/2013 yards  6.2 avg  24 TD's Gilbert's numbers:  155/1615 yards  10.4 avg.  22 TD's
