2. I believe you guys have three of the four Div. I regional finals picked correctly.  ;) My final four: Stephenville Kilgore Silsbee El Campo
 3.
Are y'all still working on fixing these pop ups or r they here to stay? I think it's is affecting people posting scores and updates on games. It did me.
If you have an iPhone, download and use the Opera browser. I don't even touch Safari. Opera works great. No pop-ups at all. For iPhone : I couldn't find the desktop option for the default Safari browser, but if you get Google Chrome from the app store it does give you the 'request desktop site' option. This seems to work for the iPhone.
 4. Scores have been updated in first post. Still needing these scores: Burkeville at Hemphill                                          7:30pm Goodrich at Boys Harbor                                      6:30pm
 5. Saw the 2nd half of this game. When one of the officials pulled up lame in the first 30 seconds of the 2nd half, making it a 2 person crew instead of a 3 person officiating crew, IMO it benefited West Brook's style of play over Nederland's style. At the end of regulation, each team had just 5 fouls apiece. Neither were in the bonus until 1 minute into overtime. I think this gave West Brook an advantage. West Brook hit the glass hard on both ends of the floor which created 2nd and 3rd chance opportunities on the offensive end and limited Nederland on the defensive end. Neither team shot lights out in 2nd half, West Brook just had more chances. #14 and #42 may be the best players for West Brook, but #24 is the catalyst of the Bruin team. He makes that team go. Nederland needs help inside and that should come from the football players. Tough game and one that I think both teams will benefit from.

Central blew out HJ! And Nederland is ranked #12 in the state? While Central is ranked #25 in the state? As I always say rankings don't win championships!
Not making any excuses but 3 of Nederland's big boys are in football. And are not allowed to even touch a basketball court till after football.
The football kids will definitely play a big factor in Ned's success this year. However, they would not have made a difference last Monday when HJ made 10-3's in the 1st half and shot nearly 75% from the field (in the 1st half). One of the reasons Central beat HJ is bc HJ only made 2-3's against Central. In regards to Ned's ranking; it's just that, a ranking. Notre Dame's FB team was not even ranked in the top 25 in preseason, now they are #1. Lots of Bball to be played between now and March. Central and Ozen will have at least two chances this year to prove they deserve a high ranking. I believe Nederland would be happy not being ranked bc it puts a target on them. Other teams are more inspired to beat a ranked team and usually play harder when they know they are facing a 'ranked team'. The start of this season has me scratching my head: -HJ beat Kountze, who beat Silsbee, who beat Central, who beat HJ. Just shows us that these early games have little meaning other than bragging rights. Every team is searching for their identity since NONE of them return ALL starters from last season.  8)
Silsbee is close with 4 starters returning and 10 of their top 11 from last year.
Nederland returns 4 starters from last year as well, plus 5 other Lettermen (3 who are still playing FB). Silsbee is in a complete different discussion, IMO. The current team which Silsbee has on the court is definitely trying to find their identity since so many kids are still playing FB. It is beyond impressive what Silsbee has accomplished with a Varsity/JV team thus far. It's scary to think how scary the Tigers will be once FB season is over.  ;)
Let's hope that's not the case till about 3 weeks. ;)
 7. Still needing someone to some how, some way to delay the start of this game by about 30-45 minutes.  ;D
