I don't see Silsbee scoring over 70. If they do, it's a certain win for Silsbee. I see the score more in the 60's and 50's.

Coaches have been sent the match ups. Seems UIL decided to get the ball rolling sooner. I assume it's because all the regional final games were done by 5pm yesterday. In the past, some regional finals were not played till 7-8pm on Saturday. Silsbee will be playing Argyle at 3pm Friday.

It is decided Sunday morning. Don't know how that AD has that info. It could work out that way but nothing is decided till Sunday morning. Only thing certain is that Argyle and Brazosport will not face each other in semifinals. They are the top two seeds by win percentage. Silsbee will face one of them in semis, depending on coin flip, game time TBD.

Well, I will be making my 46th consecutive trip to the Boys Basketball State Tournament, God willing. My father took me to the tourney in 1972, have not missed a tourney since. So love this tourney and soooooooooooooooo happy UIL moved it to San Antonio!!!

Silsbee's Willie Jones named to Regional All Tourney team Silsbee's Braelon Bush name Regional Tourney MVP Bush scored 31 in the regional final. Also, if there was a defensive MVP, it would obviously go to Silsbee's Bruce Newton. He was a major thorn in the side of Yates. Newton caused havoc defensively. Had a great game!!

I told Coach Sigler after the game that I was happy for the win but more happy that it came in a tough way. Silsbee needed a close game going into San Antonio. They hadn't had one in two months. BTW, Yates never led at anytime in this game. In fact, Silsbee has never trailed at any point in all of the playoff games. 4 regional titles in last 10 seasons. 8 regional final appearances in last 11 seasons. Time to get that state title!!!!!!
