  3. Thought I was having fun. And if my sons were playing, I promise you their team would be the best team. See, my sons are 28 and 25 years old.
  4. Not sure this is this week's rankings. According to Ashly Elam, Silsbee and Newton dropped out of the rankings.
  5. NO
  6. Nope. He graduated.
  7. There is a thread covering that scrimmage. I was there and posted comments.
  8. I gave them lot's of consideration for this week. Basically flipped a coin between them and Hamshire-Fannett. Very impressive win over Chapel Hill. They are very close to getting in on my rankings for next week.
  9. Bingo You know me too well, ghost.
  10. Easily?? Pretty bold statement. Huffman will be a challenge in district play. If Vidor were to win district, the first round shouldn't be a problem. 2nd round Vidor would likely see Brazosport or Bay City again. 3rd round Henderson or Kilgore. 4th round El Campo most likely. Jasper may end up being better than all the teams I listed, but not easily.
  11. Our Tiger Hut Player of the Game is Quincy Kelly Jr. Quincy had 5 receptions for 45 yards on offense and 9 tackles, 1 for loss on defense. Congrats Quincy!! A close 2nd was Malik Jones. Had 7 tackles, 3.5 for loss, 2 sacks and 2 QB hurries.
  12. And it's Silsbee's homecoming. Just hope Beta doesn't wash us out.
  13. Another thing you absolutely, positively cannot do against a top tier team like PG, is have 5 turnovers. Silsbee had three fumbles (two on kickoffs) and 2 INT's. Four of those five led to PG touchdowns.
  14. Here are my week 5 rankings: 6A/5A 1. North Shore 2. Atascocita 3. College Station 4. Lufkin 5. Friendswood 6. West Brook 7. Barbers Hill 8. Crosby 9. PN-G 10. United 4A/3A 1. Carthage 2. WO-S 3. Jasper 4. East Chambers 5. Vidor 6. Huffman 7. Silsbee 8. Liberty 9. Woodville 10. Hamshire-Fannett 2A/Private 1. Joaquin 2. Timpson 3. Oakwood 4. Cushing 5. San Augustine 6. Tenaha 7. Calvert 8. Kelly 9. Colmesneil 10. Garrison
  15. Silsbee's lack of a passing game will be their downfall this season. Foster finished 7-20, 70 yards, 2 INT's Brisbane was 2-5, 43 yards, 1 TD Pleasant Grove defense is just downright nasty!
  16. Could be. Just saw that it was in Channelview from someone's Twitter.
  17. Correct.
  18. And for what it's worth. Being a back up at the 6A level is totally different than being a back up at the 4A DII level. Based on the highlights of the scrimmage, Briscoe looked pretty good. Had he stayed in Silsbee, I could see him pushing Foster for playing time. Particularly with how Foster has played so far.
  19. My guess, your son's team.
  20. Hmmmmmm..... not from what I have seen in the Lumberton games I have watched. That's always been his downfall. Effort. Particularly on defense. Just ask Coach Mitchell.
