Let's cut to the bone here. The real reason why Arthur was hired was because BISD did not want to let any current assistants go. They told applicants that they could not bring in their own staff. If hired, they had to work with the current assistant coaching staff. Most legit applicants then decided to withdraw their applications leaving BISD only a select few to hire from. I will be curious to see what happens with this hire. Will someone outside be hired and will he be allowed to fill his own staff?

Well, I decided a few years ago to not rank individual players. Not worth the grief that comes with it. I will leave those things to the experts (aka Jim Hicks, Doug Jones, etc.). I am asked privately all the time to rank players on this site but I refuse to go down that rabbit hole. I will gladly talk to you privately (face to face) and tell you my thoughts on who is in my top 5. Again, I have no problem ranking teams. Players? Heck no!!

Very much agree. When there is a struggle to get someone to run the clock on a weekly basis and now you are needing a second person to run a shot clock, well good luck with that. -
Good for him.

For career points Bush passed Darryl McArthur. McArthur played for Silsbee from 1983-1986. Started all four years on varsity, was a 3 time all state player and a McDonald's All American his senior year. Bush is currently averaging 38 points a game. I am not aware of any other player in Southeast Texas that is averaging over 30 points a game.

I agree. Most times the "holding the ball" is to draw the defense out of a zone. I simply see it as an offensive strategy. Nothing wrong with that.
