  1. (8) McNeese 57 (6) Lamar 76 2nd 2:04
  2. Everyone I have spoken to tonight states it's still a go for tomorrow. I would think that if UIL were to cancel they would make have made that decision tonight instead of letting some games be played then cancel.
  3. 7:45 left 66-49 Lamar
  4. 51-32 Lamar 15:25 left
  5. HALFTIME Lamar 37 McNeese 24
  6. Lamar calls timeout, and they're in control right now. They're on a 21-2 run, and the McNeese offense looks all out of sorts. Cards lead 37-23, 1:16 remaining in the 1st half
  7. (8) McNeese 21 (6) Lamar 27 1st 5:17
  8. McNeese 21 Lamar 18 7:25 remaining in the 1st half
  9. (8) McNeese 16 (6) Lamar 11 1st 11:33
  10. (8) McNeese 8 (6) Lamar 5 1st 15:02
  11. Staying in my hotel room tonight here in SA instead of being on river walk. Will listen to to KLVI broadcast of Lamar/McNeese game and will provide updates.
  12. NCAA basketball tournaments will have limited attendance.

  14. Silsbee JV and Varsity baseball games at Port Neches-Groves have been cancelled. Varsity Tigers will travel to Hemphill for a game at 6 p.m. No JV game.
  15. Aggie coach gets COY in first year. Quite impressive.
  16. But how is it racially motivated? Particularly when 2 of the 4 top UIL admins involved are African-American.
  17. I agree with everything you have stated. Very well put. My mention of racially motivated decisions was strictly about the subject of the UIL and it's state tourney pairings.
  18. Really too many to choose from. Like a poster stated, the Silsbee/Dallas Carter game was very special. But, if I had to pick my most memorable game, it would have to be the 1972 4A (then top classification) state semifinal between Dallas Roosevelt and Houston Wheatley. My first state tournament and as an 8 year old this game was what got me hooked on going every year. The top two teams in the state with Roosevelt's Ira Terrell and Wheatley's Eddie Owens going at it. Game ended 111-109 Roosevelt in regulation, no overtime and no 3 point line. But what I remember the most was Gregory Gym being packed to the max and folks outside who could not get in had climbed up on the roof to watch thru the windows on the roof. It was crazy!!! Many numerous other games but that's the one that is forever fixed in my mind.
  19. I am wanting an Argyle/Yates final. Really want to see how each team handles each teams style of play. Argyle is very capable of slowing Yates down. They are a much, much better version of China Spring. Argyle has the length, guard play and coaching that can cause Yates fits.
  20. What is it with folks trying to apply race to dang near everything these days? Conspiracy theory with the UIL on the pairings at state tourney??? RIDICULOUS!!! UIL has done their pairings by win percentage for many, many years. Top two teams by win percentage get placed opposite of bracket then the other two teams are drawn/flipped for to see who plays who. Where is the conspiracy? It's completely a coincidence that two predominantly black schools are facing each other in semifinals. That's it. What about the conspiracy theory that could be taken that the UIL, with these pairings, has guaranteed that a predominantly black school will be in the finals? What about that? BTW, Stafford is a predominantly black school. Argyle is the only predominantly white school of these final four schools. Conspiracy theory? Racially motivated decisions? GIVE ME A BREAK!!!
  21. I agree but I will take that venue over not having to deal with that Austin crap.
  22. I will be making my 49th straight boys basketball state tournament. Went to my first one in 1972. Have not missed a year since. Soooooooooo glad UIL moved it to San Antonio. Much better place for tournament.
  23. Has been one of our coverage area schools for many years.
