  1. I think the biggest obstacle is going to be with the rezoning. Do they leave West Brook alone and just merge the boundary areas of Central and Ozen or do they move some of the North end boundaries to West Brook and send all of the South End, etc back to Ozen?
  2. Correct...
  3. I made "a phone call" today and was told that the decision will probably be made at the latest by December 14th, but possibly earlier. The "powers that be" are staying pretty tight lipped...
  4. Watching the Texans and the Ravens on MNF, I like the black and purple of the Ravens color combination...
  5. He did that all night. They really didn't throw down field. Just kept running the bubble screen...
  6. I doubt it will be the Cougars because that was the mascot of BCP before it merged into Central. Their colors were green and gold...
  7. Oh yea, I forgot about your boy at Silsbee. Go Tigers!
  8. Besides maybe a game/score prediction, you won't catch me in too many other threads if it's not Central, Ozen or West Brook. I have a life, a wife, kids, a job and a nice new shiny bass boat that demands my time. Even though I use to coach at one, I don't even comment on the private schools in Beaumont. With the exception of WO-S and Kirbyville (family to come out of both), I don't comment on small school ball. The only thing I care to know about East Chambers, is that the school is in Winnie. The only thing I care to know about Winnie is that when me and my boys get through supporting the Bulldogs and Indians tonight at NRG, I'll be 20 minutes from home when I pass through it...
  9. I LOVE the hurricanes but the people around here might be a little sensitive too it...
  10. Lions instead of Leopards...
  11. Good question...
  12. I don't know why we even bother man...
  13. The majority of people that attend Ozen and Central won't be moving to other towns. SMH. You must don't know the demographics of the 2 schools or what's really going on where you pay taxes. Typical Westender...
  14. Keep wishing on the exodus part. Football for example, I don't know how many Seniors Ozen will graduate this year off of their football team but Central had 31. So at Central, there would have been a lot of competition in Spring ball for a lot of positions anyway. My boys start back working next week for next year, so the competing part won't scare them. A lot of those kids between the 2 schools know each other already. Plus, I think Ozen played a lot of guys both ways, it will ease that. Central only had one guy playing both sides a lot. An a exodus to where? West Brook? I doubt that with their already deep numbers and you don't go join the enemy. Maybe you were referring to an exodus to Nederland but you already have PA for that...
  15. I have my opinions on who should get what but they are just my opinions. I explained on a Facebook post last week that a merger just doesn't affect students, it affects staff at every position from the Principal's on down...
  16. That would be correct then. I know who to hit up now if I miss a game for the results...
  17. "They" will not allow West Brook to be outshined... Going back into the Central main campus is not an option... Glad you reside in Bridge City and that your opinion doesn't matter.
  18. Maroon and Gold. Maroon from Central and Gold from Ozen...or black and silver.
  19. Supposedly the district would be able to use the 18 million from their insurance policy to bring it up to par.
  20. I'll have to check the losses but I know they have beaten Channelview and now West Brook.
  21. Yep, over 30 years lost... Well I was talking to someone about that this week. Would the AD fill all head coaching vacancies using coaches between the 2 schools or would he open them up for outside candidates? But I'm still holding out hope...
  22. I'm taking my boys and some of their Jaguar teammates to the Navy @ Houston game @ 11 am then thinking going support the Bulldogs and Indians. I want to show the boys that this could have been them playing in round 2 in NRG. Since they are all 10th and 11th graders that will be going, I don't want them to experience next year what this year's Seniors did, not going to the playoffs.
  23. His 1st year as AD, he will not make that mistake. He will turn in an answer.
  24. Like I said, if it is not feasible to make the current Central campus suitable, than I'd prefer to make Smith the new Central. If they chose to merge Central and Ozen, then it is what it is. Either way, next year I'll have a Senior, a Junior, a Sophomore and a Freshman...and they won't be Bruins.
