If you would back away from the keyboard and take a few minutes of your life to read his article, it would explain to you how "he" came up with East. I didn't come up with it, just repeated what he wrote. If you want to know, my personal favorite that I have seen and that's getting a lot of steam and traction in other places is Beaumont Obama High. But we already know that people that don't even have a kid that will be attending the merger school, don't have a kid in BISD, don't even live in Beaumont or simply just love #45 and what he stands for would come out to protest and boycott that naming. All I will say is they better hope that it's not left up solely to the students and staff to vote... (sunglasses).

I'm with you, the black and silver color scheme looks the best regardless of what name and mascot is chosen. Ashley, show us what his 1st choice would look like using your program. The black and silver would look good with the Ozen-Central one too.

Lumberton and Ozen fans would love the drop to 4A D1. I could see Lumberton making a good playoff run if that happened.

I'll definitely miss 5A travel compared to 6A. Hey, I like having the last game ever between Nederland and Central as a Central win.

If the Beaumont Merger happens, which means the 2 Beaumont schools will be in the same district, I would like to see the Merger school play PA-M and 2 of the smaller 6A schools not in their district. No Nederland and no PN-G.

For the most part I agree with you buddy. It just depends on who the other 6 teams in the district are besides West Brook. I still ask the question, if the main building at Central is not going to be used anymore, why does it look like a turnaround at one of your local plants over there everyday?

Not going to argue the tradition part with you because I'm in agreement with you on doing what's best for the kids. I have 4 that will graduate 4 consecutive years starting with the class of 2019. The part I don't agree with is that a bond will pass. We've already had people on this site complaining about their taxes. The Westenders have their schools, this doesn't affect them, so they will turn-out and vote "NO"...
