I honestly think most of the people that post negative things about Hefner are old schoolers. I’m a old schooler myself and back in the 90’s when you had a big D1 recruit on a team they dominated the game. They would score 30 plus a game no mater if they were doubled teamed or not. They stuck out like a sore thumb but times have changed. You look at the total makeup of Hefner and he has all the intangibles to become a big time player. He has a lot of things going for him that you can’t teach but he also has a lot of improving to do on the offensive end. He missed several layups, jumpers and free throws that he will have to learn to make if he’s going to have a successful college career which he’s capable of doing but he’s not there at this point. The bright side is he will have at least 4 more years to improve.

I think they should, but more importantly you have to figure out how not to have it setup for any sport where 80% of the teams are making the playoffs.

Biggest surprise from this game is that Sterling has someone who can dunk.

He had a career high 37pts tonight. As freshman he is averaging close to 17ppg for Austin Peay.

Weisbrod should've went to a bigger school, he was greatly overlooked. Still IMO the best player to come thru there. He was a beast and had that dog in him (no pun intended)

Pretty sure he was referring to the fact that he has 6 varsity games against the Mighty Titans since he started as a freshman on varsity. None of the rest of his teammates do. Spin it how you want, but he is one of the most unselfish players you will ever see.
 

I have a lot of friends in the coaching world on every level all the way up to college.  I think you're grossly underestimating how much gym availability these kids have during the summer.  

Well, I decided a few years ago to not rank individual players. Not worth the grief that comes with it. I will leave those things to the experts (aka Jim Hicks, Doug Jones, etc.).
I am asked privately all the time to rank players on this site but I refuse to go down that rabbit hole.
I will gladly talk to you privately (face to face) and tell you my thoughts on who is in my top 5.
Again, I have no problem ranking teams. Players? Heck no!!

Wait. What about all the special teams? Kickoff team, kickoff receive team, punt team, punt receive team, field goal team, extra point team? That should be 66 which makes 88 players for football.

#12 for Aransas Pass is a lot of fun to watch.
