Buna played Saturday with their backs against the wall. Troup Won game 1by a score of 4-1 with their stud on the mound. Buna came back and play well with two victorys and scored the last run on Troups stud. Troup is a well coached and the kids have a lot of class. Buna is young and found out they can play and be successful under pressure. Good luck the rest of the way and lets win two. (Hopefully with out a lose but one is not done!!).

Jack Hammer do you understand that districts are set by enrollment!! As far as who we played last year, yes Buna was out manned but looking at your past post I think you are from Kirbyville. Don't hate because you guys are done!! If you are a student please get back to the books and if you are a dad or a coach then grow up!! Buna had a fine year so do not try to make yourself feel better by putting someone else down. Here in Buna we wish everyone well in the playoffs and hope se texas goes deep in the playoffs!

Coach Terrier in Buna took a 3 district win team and put up an 11-1 record and the first district title in 17 years, and a #9 Ranking in the thsbca poll. Great job coach and oh yeah they are only losing 2 starting sr.'s and Muckelroy. Good luck in the playoffs.

Because if Kountze wins they are 2nd in district and if they lose they go in as the 3rd place team.

Kountze is in and if they win Monday against Warren they will be in second place if they lose they get third.

Anahuac 7-5 Kountze 5-5 E/C 4-6 Anahuac is in but not sure what place yet. Kountze has Warren and E-C left E-C has Deweyville and Kountze left. If Kountze wins out they are 7-5 and have beaten Anahuac twice so they would be second. If they lose to Warren and beat E-C they are still in.(6-6) If E-C loses to Deweyville then they are out. If they win out they are 3rd and Anahuac is 2nd. Have I lost you yet? because i think i lost myself. Ok one more crazy idea. If Kountze loses both they are 5-7 and E-C loses to Deweyville and beats Kountze then they are 5-7 and quess who else is 5-7.........That's right Hadrin Hornets so we still could have one crazy finish. Friday should settle this craziness.

Not taking anything away from Anahuac, they keep the pressure on Buna all night. Buna played their worst game in the field all year. If I counted right Buna had 6-7 e's on the night. Agian congrats to Anahuac and good luck in the playoffs!!! Represent 24-2A well and show everyone that this was not a push over district. Hate that Buna did not get the 12-0 that they hoped for but the season starts over today.

Does that make Buna 11-0 and East Chambers 4-6. I saw the game and East Chambers in my opion is the second best team in the district. The last week of this district is going to be fun to watch. Good luck to E-C, Anahuac and Kountze, all battlein' for the last two spots.

If Kountze beats Deweyville Friday and Warren Tuesday and Buna beats Anahuac Tues then Kountze is in even if they lose to E-C on Their last game of the year which will be Thursday. Both teams will be 6-6 in district and Kountze has beaten Anahuac twice.

I thinks East Chambers and Kountze get in!!!

You can look at the playoff bracket on www.uil.utexas.edu but Buna gets a bye for winning 24-2A Title. In the second round they will play the winner of the second place team from 21-2a and the third place team from 22-2A. In 21-2a it looks like Tatum or Troup in 22-2a Centerville, Elkhart or Mart will likely be the 3 playoff teams. Good luck Cougs it's been a long time since a District Title was won here.

That so called unranked team just beat Jasper. What a week for HJ. Lets see where they end up? Alot of teams in the top ten falling down this week. Not the way you want to get ready for the playoffs!!

I was at the game and the Hillin kid pitched 4 then another left (NOT MUCKLEROY) came in (sorry do not know his name) Then another lefty came in and again it was not muckleroy. Buna must have alot of pitching because three lefties that pitch, that's not even fair. Buna needs a win Friday to clinch the district title, hope they do, these kids have worked hard and deserve to win the Distict Title on thier home field on Senior night. (thier last three are on the road). District is still exciting to watch because everyone else is battling for the second and third place spot. Good luck to all teams and I hope whoever gets in goes along way in the playoffs.

Buna and Hardin rained out Thursday. Friday was good friday and easter weekend. Monday they were already scheduled to play Kountze and Buna was playing E-C, so Wednesday was the first available date.Since it rained today now Buna has two make-up games and who know if it rains Friday what they will do?

If Walden was sooooo good why did he leave Buna and stay with a undefeated district team. I'M NOT saying anything bad about Kountze because I feel they will be the third place team from 24-2A. But if I had to guess this iluvbaseball poster is either Walden himself or his MOMMY

Why is it that the team that loses a game they say the umps were against them and when they win they were the same for both sides. Just a thought!!

Buna has three. Win one and win a playoff birth win two worst they can do is a tie for district title win all three and District champs! The three games are East Chambers, Hardin, and Deweyville. Good luck Cougars...
