SD2009 I agree you can say anything you want but be careful because I'm sure you will be the first to come on this board and say how wrong you were if OF beats BC Right? When you talk about 16-18 year old kids sometimes they do things that surprise you good or bad, so just do'nt be so sure about your pervious statements. By the way OF has to beat BC by 9 to have a chance to get into the playoffs so we will see how the bobcats respond to the last two weeks games.

I thought the HJ coach acted like an adult and a parent forgot that their kid does not win every game. I can't speak for all OF Fans but I understand a few bad apples don't ruin the whole bunch!! Emotions are always high when a parent feels they are defending their child but I would think as much time as these coaches spend with these kids they care alot about them. By the way I saw one of the parents involved shaking hands with one of the coaches. HJ played well and best of luck tommorrow night.

Arkansasthriller I have a few questions for you! Did the OC or the DC tell the buna kids to fumble, or for the quarterback to open the wrong way on more than one play? The kids play the game and the coaches coach the game to the best of their ability. Why does every parent seem to know everything when their team loses and when they win the coaches are the greatest? This may come as a shock but during the heat of a game is harder to think of everyting than to sit here on Friday night at 11pm or Saturday and say we should have done this ot that. Buna has come along way in the last 3 years and you guys act like when the kids lose it must be the coaches fault. One play does not win or lose a game. If I remember right BUna had the ball inside the 20 3 different time and got no points, but I guess the OC is to blam for that. The defense gave up 28 points, so the DC MUST have done a terrible job during the week. How about the kids played hard and ANahuac played hard and it just went Anahuac's way. Best of luck cougars the rest of the way and remember what E-C did last year, win and repesent the district in the playoffs for the 3RD year in a row. Bobcat55 is on your side and will always be proud of you guys no matter what happens!! Arkansasthriller if you are a true Cougar supporter than do not post these threads that will cause the kids to think that they can not trust their coaches. What a grown man would do is call the coaches and ask a question or just keep the option to yourself. The kids have to believe in their coaches and I would bet that the majority of the community does as well.

Congrats Buna. Why does it seem that Deweyville always finds a way to keep something going even if they lose. You guys need to move on to next week so ya'll can stay in the playoff hunt! Buna and Deweyville seem to have a little bit of bad blood started because didn't two gets get ejected very late for fighting last year? I'll help everyone here. Kountze gets the 4 points that they "were cheated" out of, and now the final score is 19-13. If you will notice Buna still wins. Come on people one play does not win or lose a game. I saw the replay and yes they blew the call but the offical was behind the kountze runner and the buna defender trying to tackle him so his view of the side line was blocked and he called what he saw to be the runner stepping out of bounds. I hate that Kountze feels that cost them the game. Win or lose the district just started and they have several games left. Best of luck to both teams.

Do not know how it turns out but now have a soft spot for B-C. Best of luck to them and I hope football can bring some type of normal surrondings to these kids and the community of Bridge City. Nothing personal H-J but most on-lookers will be pulling for B-C! Should be a good game and again best wishes to all Bridge city residents. Hey maybe FEMA personnel can come and watch the game and we here in SETX can show them how we take care of our own!

Anyone who thinks athletics, not just football, should be taken out of schools should see this story. Just goes to show everyone that we have great kids in Orangefield and SE Texas. The community will be fine and I hope non-athletic persons realize that a volleyball game and a football game is needed here in SE Texas. Some may say that it is too early but it is never to early to get things back to normal. My prayers go out to all communities that were damaged due to IKE. Now lets get these school back open and do what SE TExas knows, lets play BALL!!!!!!!!!

I love it! If your school is not playing come out and watch a game and maybe forget about IKE for about 2 hours. I'm sure everyone has alot of stuff to get their chest, so go to a game a yell till you feel better. That's how we roll in SE Texas baby!!!
