Does Kountze find a way to figure it out and become competitive again?  I keep thinking that this is the week they pull it together.  I think at this point it falls on the shoulders of Arnold to lead this team.  I think they have lost confidence in not only in the playbook but also in Arnold.  I know about the injuries but its time to play past that and get it done.  This needing a breather here,  out this half for a wrist and out second half last week for cramps??   I know he has the athletic ability to get the job done but does he have the mental toughness?
 
PIck up the play calling a little bit, and play the whole game like he did the 1st Quarter in Kirbyville and this team would be hard to beat.   Just my point of view..

I think my wife buys them once a month

first of all Tatum will not be the toughest team you face till playoffs, the one district loss in a few weeks will be the toughest team you face.
 
also, as for the shutting down Kountze I dont think 300 yards pasing and 28 points is exactly shutting down.  You outscored them on offense and dominated their D but shut them down you did not!

I have no problem with prayer at school or school events.  I do however think there needs to be some level of seperation from school and church.  The few do have the same rights as the many.  My kids know they have the right to pray and worship their faith anytime they want too.  If your kids grow up in a Godless country its not the fault of the school or the country.  If your child grows up in a Godless country it is because you as parents failed them not the government.

If Buna wins then I agree it was just validate what most believe about where the teams are at this point.  If Buna loses then it kinda shakes things up and will put Woodville higher on playoff picture.
 
I don't think the loser is in trouble as stated.  If Woodville loses it still comes down to Kountze game IMO.

not sure what their demeanor is off the field but the kids seem to b feeling it too.  Friday night half through the 3rd when it was obvious Arnold was being eliminated from the game it seemed to affect them too.  I hink they notice that no adjustments were going to be made and they shut down.  That's when the multiple injuries started and you can just tell the air went out. 
 
Hope they pull it together but in my opinion this looked more like a team on a downward spiral out of control.  

Yes he is out this week but expected back the next week I hope.

I can't speak for the rest of the Pirate faithful, but I really appreciated the applause after the young lady who led the invocation ended it with "in Jesus name." I try not to be political on the board but I do believe the vast majorityof Texas high school football fans are made to bow to the wishes of the very few.

thought it was pretty neat that the Kirbyville boys didn't run out of the blow up to enter the field before the game but walked out holding a sign that read   RIP JOEY Wildcat_Pride_1980

just think,,,,Kirbyville beat Kountze tonight by a lot, and Orangefield beat Newton.... I can imagine there are big smile above tonight...   if he was still with us this board would be blown up tonight by 1980!
