The middle of the field on defense is Vidor's biggest weak spot. Vidor has made some great improvements all over the filed on both sides of the ball, but need to fix the middle asap. It's not a personnel problem, it's a scheme issue before anyone thinks am calling anyone out. 

We shall see. By the way we have the same record as y'all so Vidor is poo trash too right. 

From what I hear he and the receivers are explosive, which i gues is to be expected from PAM . I wonder about the QB tho and the D if there comes a time they need to lean on either. 

Well, we have much more work to do than Vidor.  
The  thing that Vidor could possibly do better is play calling and penalties...  Vidor passed a few times and it was incomplete.  No need to pass when you're getting 7 yards a pop.  And with Central's defense tired, the incomplete pass stops the clock and gives the defense a chance to rest and substitution.  And the pentalties will put that run offense in a bind when they play really good teams like PAM or PN-G...

Those guys are really really talented. Hughes from PNG is having a  statistically good season  though,  so far. Memorial needs to get a  full game in 

Trend: Silsbee has won 4 of the last 5 games against Jasper.

I can't answer that one, haven't seen WB.

Those crossing patterns were there and the backup QB saw them and threw the pass...
Decision making and accurate passes just isn't the starting QB's forte.  They did good lining him up and WR.  He even caught a pass... Yes a pretty good runner though.  Utilize that... If thatsbthe case, I think we'll be ok.  Just my 2 sense...

There is a Hines and a younger Martin though.

Before the argument comes up that we couldn't stop Vidor, let me point out...  Jags did an excellent job against WB's RB Denley a 1,000 yard rusher from a year vs. 6a competition and a WB O-Line that averages almost 300 lbs.  Held him to about 60 yards.  We held the Katy team to a little over 100 yards of total offense a week later.  So besides the hickup yesterday, we've done quite well.  Memorialbdoes now have huge linemen  and there is no Cam Martin or Daulphine in the backfield.  So, get a short memory, Jags and dump your frustrations on those PA kids...

Everything hinges on what changes are made here...  Are we going with the younger QB?  Are we going to run the right offense?  Will the defense get adequate rest?  If so, we'll leave PA with the dub.  We have familiarity on our side.  We've always played these guys.  We match them athlete for athlete.  And I think we match them as far as coaching goes, or did some forget?

I wasn't gonna comment but I will. First of all Jags aren't out of contention for a playoff spot. Alot of athletes that can play . Central tried to run early, but we got on them pretty good.  Vidor Offense moved the ball at will. Tough running by all RB's. I think when the Central QB did play action pass was trying to go for long ball. Both corners covered the receivers man on man and it just wasn't there. He had no one else to throw to because he rolled out to opposite side of the field, looking for the homerun ball. It wasn't there and he kinda panicked and either threw it away or had to run. Second half Central went to the crossing routes ,and it was effective. Vidor never had to punt, Central did a couple times. The fake punt shocked me, wasn't a wise choice. Overall Central is a good team with much to work with. Vidor has gotten better in the last few weeks with the adjustments. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way

I agree.  My take on that offense, if you're able to run the ball, it's because the D is still guarding the receivers, and if the D is stopping the run, the receivers are probably open.   Which I suspect is how several of the Dist opponents do stop it.

Lol, we shall see, and PAM won't go D2. If BH makes playoff, I could see matchup with PNG.

I take PN-G and Memorial as favorites over the Ant Mound at this point, so there's 2 teams that could get past the first round.

Hell of a complete game, Vidor.  Yoi4e players are hard nosed.  They tackle well, They block and stay on them.  Your RB's are hard to bring down.  Y'all pretty much whipped our defense's arse into submission.... Well done, and y'all have earned my respect by beating us on the road like that.
Jag Insider, I know that 'he' is your guy, but I've seen enough.  He still calls plays like it's 2013.  The Jet Sweep haven't worked in 4 years...  You can't run a shotgun spread when your qb's passes looks like dying ducks.  You've practiced the flex bone ALL spring and summer and it's been proven to work,  it you went to it in a DISTRICT game a grand total of ZERO times.  While our defense kept getting thrown on the field, and we kept getting scored on, you seemed ok with it as you didn't get in ANY player's face about anything.  The ultimately crappy move was waiting till late in the 4th to bring the backup QB in.  That kid lead the offense down the field for a score and looked good on some intermediate passes.  I'm convinced that someone just can't accept that they don't have a great offensive mind and don't give themselves credit that they have only ONE great attribute for a coach.... You're a great players coach.  THATS IT.
It's to a point that now, all of these kids you've overseen for 4 years.  No excuses now.  And whenever letdowns like this happen, I will be on his arse every week...

You make some valid points buddy.  I'm not on here to bash him or any other coach.  I was once on the sideline before changing my profession for the benefit of my family.  It's easy to always 2nd guess on this board after the fact.  I have 2 kids and other family in the program.  If i need to talk to him, which i don't, i have access to him as well as him to me.  My job title is Process Operator, no longer firefighter, corrections officer or COACH.  So I'll intrust him and his staff to get it together.  There are 7 games left in district play. Win 5 of those 7, and we will be guaranteed a playoff spot.  It won't be easy but they have the kids to do.  
You and others may think I'm crazy but i think his playbook is fine, it just requires the threat of a passing game.  Hence the Jaquet years.  If a DC knows a offense can't beat you with the pass, how do you think they are going to play you?  Give #2 Davis the start, after today, what's the worse that can happen?  You can always go back to the other if it doesn't work out. The offense technically only scored 3 TD's today the other was on a kick return #12 Moreaux. 3 last week against Tompkins and 3 against West Brook.  
We have to get more balanced to be successful...
The Defense will be fine.  They'll put there big boy pants back on and get ready for the Titans next week...

Don't need Whaley and Jaquet.  Just need to use the offensive weapons that he does have properly.  Whaley was 1 good back, we have 4 this year.  In my opinion #8 & #12, the better of the group didn't get enough carries.  But it doesn't matter who is back there if you don't have a threat of a passing game.  #2 doesn't have Jaquets wheels but I'd put his arm, accuracy and pocket presence up against his.  

Congrats on a total game victory!! I for one didn't give y'all much chance in this game. Glad you proved me wrong. 
Quirante, don't listen to these people trying to compare you to your brother. You keep playing your game and at the end of the day if will speak for itself. 
Only negative from today, we got to shore up the middle of the field against the pass. Too many guys crossing behind the backers and in front of the safeties. The corners played shutdown coverage today. Hats off to you. I like the 4 man front and the way they got after it. 
The offense was clicking today. No punts and no turnovers. Play calling was much better today and glad to see some new wrinkles. Hopefully that will be a trend we can build on week to week. 
Build on this from week to week and don't take anything for granted. Keep putting in the work and success will keep coming.
