  1. Great day to be a Timberwolf! First of all, from the opening kickoff, there was no mistake who the better team was. United just seemed faster and more physical than Nederland, however, Many penalties held us back from what we were truly capable of. I hope they correct that for next week. Nederland did have some good spots though. The big interior lineman for Nederland clogged that middle up and stopped any and every running play up the middle. I hear that kid was a sophmore, don't know if thats true or not. Nederland also has the good looking RB which started gashing United at one point. I have NO earthly idea why they went away from that. Finally, the Nederland kicker has a foot of a mile. Kicked that long FG with distance to spare. I was thoroughly impressed. Also, Nederland will need to learn how to tackle in open space. Almost seem like they were scared when United RB's came rumbling downhill and wanted to arm tackle... Besides the penalties, I loved the play selection and seen some wrinkles they've been working out on offense. But I have no idea why we started huddling up and not going to the hurry up offense. That was strange. I also have no idea when we went to the 5 we set and ran it half a possession and went away from it and NEVER went back to it. Nederland never had an answer for that and made NO adjustments to it. Also, EVERY week and getting more and more impressed with the young DB Rivers! Kid is just a flat out baller. 3rd week in a row he's had a pick 6 and he also comes up and makes good open field tackles in the edge. Sky is the limit for this kid and I'm so fortunate to be able to see him growing right before my eyes. Usual suspects did their thing. Our 3 headed monster and RB did their thing, Wilson, Burrell, and Eaglin. QB play was good. I just love that extra dynamic we have with his feet that we DIDN'T have last year. Special shout out to the Timberwolf D-Line for flexing their muscles again for the second week in a row. Those guys just get after it and as one Nederland fan described, fast and mean. Game ball goes to the United coaching staff for actually making a halftime adjustment that works, even after Nederland had taken full control of the game's momentum before halftime. Side note, second week in the row we wore Maroon pants. I think we need to stay with them and leave the gold ones in the closet. Too many tail kickikgs I saw last year when they wore them. Ps. Nederland will be un the district championship conversation in weeks to come. Mark my words.
  2. Never knew Ozen to wear Maroon. Seriously, that joke have ran it's course, don't you think? Smh
  3. Naaah. Yall keep him. Lol
  4. Is this a real thing?
  5. What are the elementary schools comprised of?
  6. Why? Not enough kids out for JV?
  7. @pakronos I need you on your best behavior because I look forward to sitting with you and Bigd but while you in a good mood. Lol
  8. Also, the many updates with normal convenience allows non english speaking people to do many things these days. Everything is in spanish version now. Spanish interpreters are getting lots of work these days. I guess my views are just different when it comes to it. Then again, I dont live in Cleveland and have only been there like 3 times...
  9. Yall realize that almost every town and city in texas has homeless people living in tents and under freeways, right? These issues happen in big cities and growing smaller cities. Seems like the issue is not worth the folks from across the border, but just general homeless population that just so happen to be mostly Hispanic people.
  10. But chances are, the cutoff numbers will change this year...
  11. 🐺🐺🐺
  12. There was a ref in the end zone the whole time. Surely you're not suggesting that he blew the call when he was probably less than 10 feet from that kid when he caught that TD pass... 😁
  13. Bruuuh. 🤣🤣🤣 That kid was inbounds...
  14. That's something good, but last year, they were not the chain gang of old... I haven't seen them year. I wonder if the D improved?
  15. Ok, THIS was the answer I was looking for. I knew something lead up to this. But this sounds more like the player is a hothead loose cannon...
  16. I'm sure WO-S has good linemen, but United has some good size on that line.
  17. Exactly. That was St. Pius downfall.. and it all went downhill after that..
  18. Hitting a ref intentionally is inexcusable. I dont think I can just let that go like that. If that were my school, that kid would be done... now mouthing off? That's different. You can punish a kid for that.. but you cant have kids assaulting adults.
  19. I agree. It feels like around the same area of the stadium I used to alway sit at Babe...
  20. 'Stay Thirsty, my friend'.
  21. Wrong type of growth? Help me understand this. Just because the bulk if the growth comes from people South if the border dont mean the growth is bad. Any growth for an area is good. Most of the people probably came legal. They come and they'll work and boost the economy. You move in, and you buy or rent. You work, you spend your money in the town. That's the same thing as the people that are already in Cleveland. This may or may not benefit football in Cleveland, but it may benefit other sports as well. It's a win win for the city of Cleveland IMO. It's just a shame the close minded thought process of many...
  22. I always look at each side. LOOK not agree. I agree that the kid is wrong and will pay the price. I agree that the kid should go through the legal process. But in the sake of debate, which is why we post here sometimes and by having many people of different nationalities, opinions, up bringing, morals, ect., we should be able to weigh in on both sides. Me, I'm a devil's advocate kind of guy. Should be apparent for anyone that's been on this site for a significant time. If what you came up with was that I believe that there was a situation that I'd agree with any kid physically assaulting an adult, then you may have to re evaluate your way of thinking, which is a head scratcher to me. And for me having to break this down like this is beyond me. But back to football. This kid shouldn't be allowed to play another down of football on the high school level for that headbutt to an official...
  23. Not as a defense at all. My first statement confirms that. Read the WHOLE post. I asked about what did the ref say because obviously, there was something said to set that kid off. He was kinda lining up, then the ref said two things that got the kid going. If it was the WRONG thing the ref said, he needs to be reprimanded as well.
  24. Wow! Thia is very wrong and he deserved to be kicked out, but 1, what did that ref tell that kid. He was lining up and the ref walked by him and said two things. 2, what lead up to this? I'm sure we can see it the last 5 or so plays.
