Does anybody have info on Coldsprings, I know most of their starters are in football right now but that's about it.

[/quote] We're losing eight starters including whole o-line and cummings and then we lose 7 starters on defence, so it could get pretty interesting next year for district champ. Every jv linemen that will move up is about 260+, but not the most athletic, maybe some might develop alot over the offseason and summer. Also most skill postions are returning, so that will be our strength next year.

I really have no clue to how good athens is, I don't think there are any common opponents besides columbus/br which is really stretching it, so can somebody help us coldspring fans? ??? ??? ???

First of all I will give props to the Coldsprings players and staff for playing their heart out executing a brilliant game plan against Kirbyville.. IMO this difference maker was not gilbert ... but cummings ... runs with heart and toughness ... No excuse will come from this poster ... We didnt make adjustments when we needed to on offense and it came back to hurt us (we were passing at will at the beginning .. why not say with that...) ...  I will say this though ... you talk about how this could have be a bigger victory ... I beg to differ...at least two no calls on pass interference on plays that could have possibly turned the tide ... a fumble in which the ground caused the fumble ... but these ARE JUST EXCUSES, WE HAVE NONE ... so TRY and be a little classier and and be gracious in your post .. It's gonna get REALLLLY quiet on this site after the kville loss and some other setx teams losing tonite. So all yall kville fans go ahead and transfer to the basketball forums cus yall's days of talking smack about football are OVER!!!!!! This is definitely going to be a great game and I think it's going to be a defensive game at that. We play very few people both ways and that MAY make a difference, especially on thanksgiving week, I hope both team are working their tails off in practice and studying that film. When I watch film from the first time we played kville, it makes me sick to my stomach, I mean constantly there were 3-4 people messin up their assignments on blocking, letting some through UNTOUCHED, but now I feel we have an offensive identity, knowing what plays are good and what plays are out. Also we have an improved passing game, I think we passed only on third and long in the first game. I'm sure kville has also improved since that first game too though. Like I read on a previous comment, the winner could easily be in the state title game.

But some crow does need to be served. chs11- just got done watching film of BR vs. columbus from reg. season, and WO-S might need to watch out on this one, BR's running back is very nifty.  KFDM KERRY COOPER - WO-S HAS the Defense to keep him under control chs 11 - Maybe this year's brookshire royal squad will play the same role as last year's coldspring trojan squad?, in "upset" fashion?
