They are only due to the type of offense they run. A shotgun team that can only run isn’t as dangerous imo.

Now you know where the kids get it from. Like I said previously, PAM got beat by a better COACHED team. Poor discipline from coaches results in poor discipline from players.

Congrats to Baytown lee high school on their first district win in four years! They Beat Livingston last night and those kids were so pumped it was awesome to see.

You got to understand something about '92. He always makes bold predictions against teams that has fan bases he knows he can get it a rise out of.
He's wrong the majority of the time.

I'd also like to add it feels nice to be able to freely talk about this stuff now lol. 

The crazy thing is the way they do the count..meaing that it's the numbers as they are right now (9-12).  Why in the world would this year's seniors have anything to do with UIL competition NEXT year and the year after.  At least if they're going to do the counts based on a snapshot enrollment count 8th-11th grades.  That is next year's high school enrollment.

To follow up, media is one of the lowest paid professions and the pay scale is dropping every single year on the local level. For guys in sports media it's even lower. I've been lucky enough to build some years of experience, so I'm still able to live a "normal" life. For those just coming up though it's almost impossible for them to pay all their bills and eat. All the hours worked doesn't add up to very much money for most.  We all do it because it's our passion.

Why are you trying to takevaway from what he accomplished. They all play the same opponents in different order. For him to do it is outstanding. With the success he has this year, he deserved every carry. Until Hines wakes up, this kid is the best in district at rb.

One thing we did do was able to move the chains running and with a few penalties on PAM. Depends on how committed you will be to the running game. Ward was 25-119yds. That front is damn good! It also helped having a short field at times due to special teams.

We also missed a fg so we were moving the ball other than one drive and the other two “given” tds. We had a screw up on a punt that went 3 yards and gave PAM the ball around our own 30 yard line, so that argument can go both ways. 

PAK is playing this all wrong. Here's the facts. PAM has better athletes than PNG. They also have the best RB in the district. PNG has the best QB and WR in the district. Everyone knows a beast defense can handle a finesse offense. So it should spell for a PAM win. One thing I know is that all the trash has been talked, now the game will be played. Games likes these come down to momentum and turnovers. And games like these also have studs step up and show what they are all about. I have stated all year PAM wins the district. As long as we have RJ, I feel like we always have a chance. But do not twist this up like PNG is some type of heavy favorite. For PNG to win, we will need to play lights out and need PAM to play average. If both teams play lights out, look for PAM to win. It's a matchup nightmare IMO. BF is not going to load the box, so what you will see is another College Station situation. PNG will win. Only if RJ takes over and has a monster game. He is very capable of doing this. So I will say, PAM wins, unless RJ goes beast mode for 4 quarters. And as I like to say, put your Pom poms down and watch some film...... Don't drink the kool aid and get to the facts. PAK, quit trying to save face just in case PAM loses... And for 85, don't count out the bubble........ odds are stacked against us, but that's why you have to play the game.....

In order to be physically tough, you must first be mentally tough! I agree with your assessment! We do have some talent. Some have a great work ethic and want it. Some you doubt how bad they want it. 

From what I’ve seen 22-5A actually looks tougher than it has in a while. PNG, PAM, Nederland, Vidor and Lumberton look the best so far. Central has potential.

I did see that as well, but when the talk here started that ALL of the games had been changed to 2, I emailed coaches and called some athletic secretaries to get the actual confirmed times.  Coach Babin responded yesterday morning that the game time had been "changed to 4pm."

Lumberton and PAM game is at 4 pm. Just confirmed with coach babin.

I think if the defense will step it up a little more we should be able to finish out the season pretty tough. JMO

If the defense steps up we could do well against Vidor and Nederland and maybe even PAM.

This was a tough game for me to choose who I was pulling for. Both teams families and schools were devastated. I have prayed a bunch for both of these schools and kiddos. SO I guess I will say congrats Vidor and keep your chins up Central. The whole district is pulling for both of you guys to get through this storm and have some normalcy back in your lives.
