1. They have the mistaken thought that they should structure their schedule so as to make it possible for the team to advance as far as possible in the playoffs.  Nobody has told them that their priority should be creating a schedule that would please more folks on this board.  I think they still are laboring under the erroneous theory that they know what is best for their program.  I needn't even mention other stupid practices such as having  their players in cross country.  It is pretty easy to be naive and uninformed when you are running a small and insignificant rural program. Perhaps the next coach/staff will wake up and get his/their priorities in proper perspective and resultantly create an program for which they don't have to apologize.
 2. The topic is accomplishments and HJ simply doesnt fit into that category.  They are just your average run of the mill program and the staff there is mired in mediocrity.  Perhaps someday they will hire someone who know how to run a program.
 3. You won't get any argument for me on that.  Mr. English has completely turned around two consecutive dismal programs- a feat unaccomplished by most.  In my opinion, such an accomplishment is a bigger one than winning a regional or state title via an established program.
 4. If you are saying life is like basketball, you are wrong.  There is more reward for being on the bottom than on the top.
 5.
Yes, it is weird & funny how sports mirrors life .....Those on the bottom who didn't work as hard or lacked the talent  ENVY / HATE on the Big Dogs WHO PUT IN THE GRIND.  And the Big Dogs  keep refusing to change their game (as requested by da bottom 3%) in order to stay in competition with the other Big Dogs.
Too bad life isnt more like basketball

I see now I'm going to have to  include Central up there with Nederland & Hardin Jefferson as schools to hate on because they are successful
Dove- you are simply employing the Obama societal strategy

 20.
Just an update on Jack Yates ( 3-A) for this week. Yates is playing out of the country ( ::) ::) (REPUB JOKE) and in the same tourney with other super power teams such as Oak Hill, Findley Prep, and several others. It will be interesting to see who fights for 2nd place in district  between ( HJ & Silsbee)  ;D
HJ likely not to make playoffs

 22.
This game was closer than the score appears. Ozen guys gonna have to play hard in the 1st & 2nd quarters too. 24. It's official= Soulja has replaced Da Dove as the #1 prime game prognosticator on the board.  Just as we rank teams, we need to have a ranking of people who predict game outcomes.  Right now, Soulja is the man.
