I have personal knowledge of two instances where this type of guy convinced players to hold out for bigger and better deals.  Both players turned down small school offers because they were convinced North Carolina would be calling very soon.  Both wound up getting nothing in terms of D-1.

[/quote] But wouldnt you agree that if you arent playing reasonably well throughout most of the game, a great finish may not get the job done?  A great finish would have done HJ no good against Central and a great finish would have done Nederland no good against HJ.
