Have already been through that this year- take my word for it, all will work out fine.  The very LAST thing you want is somebody on the team whose heart is "not in it".

I understand now how the voting broke down but dont understand the logic of picking someone as #1 who recently lost convincingly to the other #1

How many voters are there?  If both of you had it ranked that way, that can only mean there were some who had the opposite.  Can't figure out how anyone could rationally come to that conclusion.

I am guessing that anyone who wants to see  this game should get there no later than the start of the JV contest.

I was referring to the playoff performance in recent years because Dove is always reminding us that it is not how you start but how you finish.  Furthermore, my guess is that anytime there is a strong rivalry, who you played prior to the rival has little bearing on the outcome in the rivalry.
