probably reading this forum too much & all the Silsbee hype

as promised: last district loss for Evadale was on Oct.17,2012 to West Hardin (3-2) Evadale has won 34 consecutive district matches since then.

WO-S is a power hitting team.  Have to be able to throw some blocks at Teel to come out on top.  They can be streaky but never look past them. 
Bears have a good program, been a tough year but not down.  Keep at it.

I would vote Vidor's offensive line, paving the way for 702 yds rushing and 11 tds. With 5 rushers gaining over 100 yds. I know it's not typically what this thread is about but that wasn't a typical performance either.

Yep. Seems to be a trend.
Tiger defense just couldn't get Huffman off the field on 3rd down. Huffman faced several 3rd and long situations last night, but to their credit, converted on most of them. 11 of 18 3rd down and 2 for 2 4th down plus getting the two extra possessions on the onside kicks.
Special teams won this game for Huffman. Kickoff coverage was excellent, getting the two on-sides and pinning the Tigers back with pooch kicks, had Silsbee guessing all night. Falcons kick off return team also did great, getting returns every time past 35. Silsbee also failed on 3 two point conversions.
Credit to Huffman coaching staff. They had their team well prepared and had a great game plan to win this game. Kudos to you guys.

Sorry. In Dallas on college visits.  Silsbee has a bye so we took a trip.

Wanted to post this now since we are almost halfway thru District matchups. Maybe some of this will change by the time playoffs start.

Well I do have 20 plus years of coaching and just as many umping or reffing. After the 1st game I watched, I did get a rule book LOL Don't like watching and not knowing LOL I have seen these two ref before and thought very HIGHLY of them. May have just been a bad day and being Saturday morning. But these are kids and deserve the very best we can do as adults. Lead by example...  I have never called an umpire a cheater, think some are more passionate about what hey are dong and others do it for a paycheck. I know everybody has an off day but kids deserve our best.

Lady Rebs have valedictorian on team.  It was brought up by Coach Deb one time. My G'daughter was quick to point out she was in the top 30 - which got a good laugh since there are only 30 in the Sr class.

HF will win state behind Dove's private funding
Silsbee will win state from 2016-2035.
Central will get the death penality for illegal recruiting of third world student athletes.
Hardin Jefferson will struggle because all the players will be over weight from the addition of Sonic in Sour Lake.
Kelly will struggle because everyone says so.
Ozen and West Brook will forfeit games because of illegal recruiting by forementioned Beaumont school.
Nederland will go 0-30 because of bad lighting in gym. 
Memorial needs a communication program and fresh legs. 
Every major D1 coach will be in attendance at the Huntington Tournament.

I watched the Silsbee - BC game. REALLY thought that game would have went 5. Both teams were looking very well up to this point. Good luck to both teams for the rest of district play and look forward to watching them again
